Xray XB8 graphite lower arm plates

Xray XB8 graphite lower arm plates

New from Xray and made for the XB8 buggy come lower arm plates cut from 2mm carbon fibre. Designed to allow for easy flex adjustments of the arms the parts attach to the wishbones using small screws and they limit the overall flex of the composite parts for improved traction and added stability especially in chicanes and when racing on high-bite surfaces. The plates come as separate front and rear sets and they are a direct fit.

Schelle B44.3 -3mm aluminium chassis set

Schelle B44.3 -3mm aluminium chassis set

Available for pre-order now is Schelle Racing Innovation’s -3mm aluminium chassis set for the Team Associated B44.3 buggy. Debuted at the 2015 Reedy Race of Champions the 2.5mm 7075 aluminium CNC milled chassis plate is 3mm shorter and coupled with a new front top deck the new length transforms the 44.3. The reduced length has two main effects; the first is that the car is much more fluid and easy to drive in the turns and the combined shorter wheelbase and increased rear weight bias stop the rear and front from fighting each other in the turns, and the car will follow a smooth arc without breaking loose. Secondly, the short wheelbase and increased weight bias aid in more traction on power and exiting corners. After getting through the turn, it’s easier to pick your line on exit and put the power down. Included in the set, that becomes available by mid-April, is the new chassis, the top deck and a chassis protector decal.

JConcepts Whippits & Rippits 1/10th buggy tyres

JConcepts Whippits & Rippits 1/10th buggy tyres

JConcepts introduce two new tyre treads in the form of the Whippits and Rippits tyres for 1/10th scale buggies. Starting with the Rippits 2WD front tyre, featuring vertical bars that were used on the Whippits rear tyre but designed and positioned more favourable for a front tyre. By moving the bars vertical the front tracking and stability is very noticeable. The Rippits allow the driver to clear a corner, release the turn and power forward with confidence on grippy conditions. The positioning of the bars in close proximity provides a smooth transition side to side and grips high-speed corners with force. The tread spacing still cuts through the dust on the outside line of the track giving plenty of “catch” allowing the driver to search out the quicker laps. The highly blended outside bar makes the transition from 180 degree corners to high-speed sweepers that much more forgiving. The overall surface area of the tyre grips harder in areas of the track where the most traction exist translating into quick lap-times. Rippits will excel on tracks that have taken on rubber or have been pre-treated with fluids or chemicals to induce extra grip or consistency.
