Jefferies & Murray win Rd3 of BRCA TC Nats

With the track at Halifax being recently re-surfaced drivers arriving for round three of the BRCA Touring Car series were keen to test the new grip levels but the British weather scuppered that as rain fell for the entire day. Getting the best out of his Xray and mastering the wet conditions Olly Jefferies was fastest in all four rounds of qualifying and took a comfortable TQ. Despite dominating qualifying everyone was expecting close finals as the constant rain was leaving no margin for error. Early on Jefferies pulled a small lead ahead of second place man Chris Grainger, then around the two-minute mark the Awesomatix driver was on the back of the Xray.

Valentin Hettrich joins Awesomatix Factory team

Awesomatix have announced another strong addition to their team with the signing of former ETS podium finisher Valentin Hettrich. Similar to Alexandre Kunkler he will also participate at the Euro Touring Series events as well as other well known regional events. On the deal, Valentin said ‘Thanks to Max for the trust in me joining Team Awesomatix. I am looking forward to getting back at the track again and working with the team and getting the most out of the car. See you at the track!’

STRC 0° & 1° toe-in rear suspension block combo set

STRC’s new CNC machined aluminium 0° & 1° toe-in rear suspension block combo set for the Associated DR10 dragster allow racers to fine tune the amount of rear toe-in to find the ultimate balance between straight-line top speed and rear traction. These suspension blocks are machined from high quality aluminium and features machined Delrin pivot ball for the hinge-pins for the smoothest suspension movement while preventing wear to the suspension blocks. Available in anodised black, gun metal, blue and orange.

Fenix Racing F1 Gear Diff Mk2 & more

Fenix Racing have released a number of new items starting with the Mk2 version of their F1 gear diff. Originally introduced in 2016, it was the right time for an improvement. The new F1 version gets inspiration from the pancar version and now features a 1/4” new axle, in titanium, the spur gear is fully faced so the pinion working area is double when compared with normal spurs and the whole assembly runs on 3 bearings. Next up for the Mistral 2, G12 and G56, is a new side link support, which allow the user to set the side link inclination in a very easy and effective way. The main body is now threaded, which makes life easier when wrenching on the car. Finally, there is a new servo saver carbon reinforcement for the popular Kimbrough K201 made up of a set of 2 carbon fibre 1mm plates.

Tamiya aluminium ride height gauge

Tamiya have released this new aluminium ride height gauge for onroad racing. Made from blue anodised for that TRF look, the gauge is stepped with differing measurements to allow you to set your car to the most popular heights between 4 and 7mm.

Hudy dark grey set-up boards

Hudy have released new dark grey versions of their lightweight set-up boards, available in 4 different sizes to fit all the different RC scales. A must have pit board accessories for every RC car racer, the new thinner set-up board is significantly lighter and more compact and so is very handy to pack for travel. ARC R8S-21 1/8th EP onroad pan car

Based on the successful R8S On-Road Pan Car platform, the new R8S-21 from ARC incorporates a number of refinements and option parts for even greater performance out of the box. The main chassis has been redesigned for the R8S-21 with the slots removed to improve chassis rigidity and handling with the original chassis linkage bars have been replaced with 2.0mm chassis flex plates for increased overall stability and traction. The optional body-shell mount plate is now standard and the front droop is now fully adjustable on the R8S-21. Also standard on the R8S-21 is the steel rear main shaft for increased strength and durability. The R8S-21 now only accepts standard 2S LiPo batteries with 2 different layouts available, laid down side-by-side or stood-up along the centre. Both layouts work extremely well but offer different handling characteristics to suit your driving style and track conditions.

Alex Kunkler joins Awesomatix Factory team

Awesomatix are pleased to announce the addition of the German/French racer Alex Kunkler to the Factory Team. Alexandre is a known racer with a lot of experience from the past years racing all around Europe. The multiple ETS finalist in the Stock class will participate at all the remaining Euro Touring Series events as well as other well known regional events. Alexandre said of his new deal ‘Feeling super motivated and happy to join the Awesomatix team after borrowing lots of cars for the last few months! Looking forward to my first race next week at ETS Rd2 in Andernach and a big thank you to Max for making this happen!’
