Reedy pro silicone wire & low-profile connectors

Team Associated introduce the new Reedy pro silicone wire and low-profile bullet-type connectors. Starting with the wire, it was developed to be lightweight and highly flexible while offering efficient current flow at the same time. The thin silicone insulation is yet sturdy enough to withstand the rigours of racing and the wire is available as 1 meter long 12AWG/4mm, 14AWG/3mm and 16AWG/2.7mm variant in any colour you want – as long as it is black. Also new are 14mm long low-profile bullet-type connectors. Coming in a standard 4mm and also new-type 5mm variant the flat top plugs are pre-shaped for easy soldering. They are silver-plated for a low resistance connection and the will become available as pair or 10-piece pack. Last but not least in the line of new electric accessories is a set of coloured shrink tube for motors and speed controllers. The kit contains three pieces each of black, red, blue, orange, and yellow shrink tubing.

FTW Exabyte EB48 body

FTW introduce the Exabyte design bodyshell for the Tekno RC EB48 1/8th off-road buggy. The body sports a pair of vertical stabilisers emerging from the sloping roofline while sculpted lines sweep back from the front cooling inlets to enhance the sleek shape. For optimal cooling, the front inlets are complemented by an open rear body area. Made from .040″ polycarbonate the body fits snuggly around the lower chassis lines to prevent dirt from entering the chassis and the body, that fits both the original EB48 and the EB48.2 comes including window masks and a decal sheet.

Hupo Hönigl and Team Durango confirm split

Team Durango have announced that the company and long-term factory driver Hupo Hönigl have agreed not to continue their working collaboration in 2014. Hupo has been an integral part of the team since 2009, with consistent success at the highest level of RC competition and has contributed his expertise in many ways, including the development of Team Durango racing cars. Both parties felt that as they look forward into the future, it is time for a change, and have planned the split to be at the end of 2013. Team Durango wanted to thank Hupo for all his great work, and wishes him the very best for his future endeavours.

Xray NT1 front wire anti-roll bars

Xray now have different thickness front anti-roll bar wires for the NT1 200mm nitro touring car available. They are manufactured from a special spring steel and ideal for small and technical tracks. Laser-engraved thickness markings help with easy identification of the swaybars that come in a 2.2mm, 2.4mm, 2.6mm and 2.8mm variant.

John Agus wins Jakarta regional buggy champs Rd6

The 6th and final round of the Jakarta regional buggy championship was held last Sunday at the Boya Racing Track in Tajur, West Java. A total of 40 racers attended the event which featured three rounds of 10 minute qualifying with the 2 best rounds to count and 4 groups of finals with 5 drivers bumping up. Jason Nugroh (Xray) coming from 4th place on the grid got a good start and lead the first 15 minutes of the race when he suffered a flame-out after flipping the car. This handed John Angus (Kyosho) room to breathe and to the win while Jason was able to move his way up again ending in second place. Adrian Wicaksono (Kyosho) completed the podium.

Atsushi Hara victorious at JQ Asia Tour

The JQ Asia Tour Event, part of the Ratchaburi Offroad Championship, took place last weekend at the Ratchaburi track in Thailand. Two-time World Champion Atsushi Hara, who was driving a JQ Products buggy at this race, took TQ just in front of Joseph Quagraine. In the 45 minute final Hara opened a 2-lap gap on JQ taking a comfortable win in front of his teammate. Agama driver Witsarut R. completed the podium a lap further back.
