Pro-Line Axis body shells for MBX8, 8ight-X & RC8B3.2

As teased earlier in the week, Pro-Line have today released full details on the new Axis bodies for Mugen MBX8, TLR 8ight-X and Associated RC8B3.2. Designed with the latest in CAD technology, the Axis features a super low-slung design with sharp lines throughout giving it an unmistakable look on the track. The Axis is a cab-forward design that provides enhanced steering response while the small side fins balance out the rear of the car with ideal side-bite. The rear of the Axis body has the right amount of clearance for the nitro engine and fits the chassis and bulkhead shape of your race buggy perfectly. To run the Axis body on the EP version of the Mugen or Associated, the battery must be no taller than 39mm due to the low-slung nature of the Axis side pods.

2020 Kinwald Klassic – Cancelled

Hobby Action RC Raceway in Chandler Arizona got in touch to let us know the disappointing news that the 2020 BKlassic has had to be cancelled. You can read the announcement here:

Hello everyone, 2020 has been a crazy time in the world and the RC industry has had to make adjustments on the fly. As you all know the Covid-19 virus has caused us to make some difficult decisions this year and we are at that point again. As of September 17, 2020, the State of Arizona is classified in the “Moderate” zone for the potential community spread, under this level the Arizona Department of Health Services restricts gatherings on indoor assembly. With the current recommended limitation on public gatherings, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Kinwald Klassic scheduled for October 17-18, 2020. It is an honor to for Hobby Action RC Raceway to host this event and we will again honor Brian in 2021. Thank you to all those that support us and our hobby. LT

Ruddog R2167 tuned exhaust pipe

The new Ruddog R2167 tuned exhaust pipe was developed together with their racing team to ensure optimised performance in combination with the RNX21.3 nitro off-road engine. The EFRA2167 homologated pipe offers exceptional torque and top end speed as well as low fuel consumption, ensuring balanced performance for all types of tracks and track conditions. Included with the polished pipe comes an L50 manifold that further supports the overall performance of the exhaust system.

Pro-Line tease 1/8th Axis body shells

Pro-Line are teasing the upcoming release of three new 1/8th scale buggy shells. The Axis line of buggy bodies has to this point only been available for 1/10th scale but that style will be crossing over to its bigger brother with Pro-Line set to release the new shell initially for the Mugen MBX8, TLR 8ight-X and Associated RC8B3.2. JConcepts AX10 / SMT10 transmission motor plate

JConcepts has rolled out a sweet looking replacement motor plate for the Axial SMT10, AX10, SCX10 and Wraith vehicles, or similar models equipped with the AXI30491 motor plate. With the evolution of racetracks, high flying jumps are becoming the normal obstacle and it is inevitable that a driver will have a miscue and challenge the durability of the vehicle. Looking at the typical construction of the second operation processes on standard motor plates, it easy to see why bending is sometimes an issue. The design team at JConcepts has incorporated a honeycomb milling affect with placement more suited to surrounding geometry making the plate lightweight and very rigid in multiple directions. The honeycomb features add a 3D look featuring the natural aluminium while the rest is black anodised. Slight chamfering on the 3mm thickness material allows the rather beefy plate to look slim and trim.

Losi Mini-T 2.0 aluminium servo horn

A great upgrade for the Mini-T 2.0 from Losi is this soon to be released aluminium servo horn. With the servo horn transferring all the torque from the servo to the steering bell cranks, what better way to improve precision and durability in this area than by replacing your stock plastic servo saver with this beefy alloy servo horn.

Finally the slipper clutch kit includes high friction slipper pads for fine adjustment.
