Associated have released more new 12mm big bore shock pistons to increase the tuning options of your big bore shocks. Flat, machined pistons of two 1.6mm holes, three 1.4mm holes, and four 1.3mm holes are available in packs of four. The Big Bore shocks fit the B4.2, B44.2, T4.2, SC10, SC10B, and SC10GT, including RTR and FT versions.

Sweep Racing have announce a new addition to their grease line-up. This copper grease contain actual copper and is used for special applications in the R/C community. Once used, it is water-resistant and won’t fly off. It is also resistant to high heat and pressure, keeping strong against other chemicals it may come in contact with. World famous Italian engine manufacturer Novarossi are to support the inaugural Euro Nitro Series, the multiple reigning World Champions joining Xray and Shepherd Micro Racing as a Primary sponsor of the exciting new nitro onroad series. The sport’s most successful maker of RC racing engines, Novarossi will have a very strong representation at both races that will make up the ENS ‘Pilot Series’ the most notable of whom will be reigning 1:8 World Champion Robert Pietsch.

Shot during this year’s Dirt Nitro Challenge, Tales of the Dirt is a look into the life of Joey Christensen brought to you by Pro-Line Racing. Produced by Marcus Gelhard of Zebraworkz the short film is an interesting insight into the RC industry’s foremost track builder and his signature event.
The second edition of the JConcepts Stock Nationals was held last weekend at OC_RC Raceway, located in Huntington Beach California. The crew at OC_RC had a fresh, stock friendly layout for the event, that was fun, flowing and had a tricky rhythm section to keep the best drivers on their toes. With stock 17.5, no boost ruling the event, consistent, tight, fast laps were going to get you to the checkers first. With an increase in entries from the inaugural event to 168, classes were full with some of the fastest drivers in the world giving it a go in Stock at this fun event. The OC_RC crew ran an efficient program to allow 4 rounds of qualifying on Saturday using Qual Points to set the Sunday main events.

Following last weekend’s teaser image, Team C have shown off more pictures of their new mid motor 2wd Short Course, the TM2SC. The images don’t reveal a whole lot more apart from the confirmation that the car will accept a regular stick pack down the right side of the chassis and that there is an all new motor mount developed for this new chassis. Team C also showed off the car’s new body shell.

Last weekend the 2nd round of the Greek 1/10th Nationals was held at beautiful Montelodromio track in Patras. There were a total of 20 drivers signed and the weather was sunny and hot. John Sotiropoulos, who only showed up on Sunday morning with no practice, showed strong and took the pole position in the 2nd qualifier, which kept till the end. In the 45 minute race John had perfect start and clean path in front so he had an easy job to keep his place till the end, finishing 1 lap clear of Nick Karabelas in 2nd with Kuriazis Michalis in 3rd.

Last weekend the MBC Bamberg hosted the first round of the South German Championship in the north of Bavaria with Team Shepherd winning two of the three racing classes. In the 1/10th scale touring car class Patrick Nähr had a hard time during qualifying but when the finals began he and his Velox/Sonic package were back in shape bumping up from the semi to the final witout a problem. When his biggest rivals Thomas Günsel and Dominic Greiner had to retire at the beginning of the final Patrick took over the control of the race cruising to victory 9 laps in front of Martin Schöffel and Mirco Thalheimer. In the 1/8th scale class 2, young talent Maximilian Günther had a brilliant debut with his new Velox V8. After qualifying he was ranked on 3rd position in the combined ranking of class 1 and class 2 nearly one lap in front of the next best placed driver of class 2. In the combined final Max demonstrated his driving skills and crossed the finishing line in third position behind the class 1 pairing of Nico Bähr (Serpent/Sonic) and Dominik Mayer (Xray/Orcan). With this result Max scored the maximum points for the ranking of the South German Championship at his first race with Shepherd.
