Raduga RC Raceway and Rotor Club have been in touch to announce the first international RC Off-road Event in Russia, called ‘Russian Extreme Race’, which will take place in the heart of the European part of Russia from June 21-23, 2013. The race will be run on a nicely located dirt track and is open to both 1/8th gas and Electric and will be run according to EFRA rules. More details can be found here.
New from Tekno RC for the EB48 are these Xtra Tough suspension arms. These new arms are a direct fit on the Tekno RC EB48 buggy and use a new blend of materials they are nearly indestructible which make them great for cold weather racing and colder climates. The all new design also features a modified outer shock mounting location and by using the outer shock mount location will no longer sacrifice down travel so you can tune your car more precisely.

The new Finnisher wing from JConcepts features a high-attack, V-angle design with adjustable gurney and winglet options. A radical, edgy design which functions and compliments the Finnisher and Silencer body design, the new wing includes elements and features never seen before in 1/8th Off-Road. An option gurney or winglet is easily added to the wing with one simple 3x8mm screw. The wing can be run stock with a small winglet which provides some edge stability and light deflection. The included optional 2-piece gurney slides in through the bottom on both sides adding that small vertical wall at the rear providing that last bit of tuning ability on dusty and low grip conditions. The wing to vehicle attachment is made easy with included, screw-in type and body-clip type wing button choices adding security and additional detail. Top off the appearance of the Finnisher by applying the pre-cut decal wrap on each panel surface for the ultimate look and performance.

Xceed have announced two new engines for 2013, the ZX-21 DS6 EM and the ZX-12 DS6 EM, both on-road racing engine. The .21 comes with a new long stroke design to improve even more low and mid range acceleration. The components have been ‘hand modified’ by Edoardo Picco using his extensive experience and reliability and performance has been improved while maintaining good fuel efficiency. The .12 engine has a redesigned ABC set and combustion chamber have been redesigned also improving durability and reliability. The ZX-12 EM delivers great power over the entire rpm range, with very good fuel efficiency, with special attention given to mid range acceleration due to the increased traction from the latest generation of 1/10th touring chassis’.

A Main Hobbies’ Outback Raceway will be hosting it’s annual Outback Shootout March 1st through March 3rd to kick-off the indoor racing season. Outback’s indoor track is known for its consistent, high-bite clay surface and challenging layouts. The pits are heated and there are classes for all electric off-road racers. Competitors will automatically be entered to win dozens of raffled prizes from our sponsors. AKA have updated their medium insert with the addition of fluting on the inside, just like the world championship winning soft “Red” insert. This makes the medium insert slightly softer than the original, yet still yields the same characteristics needed in a firmer foam. Fitment for all 1:8 buggy tires and standard AKA short course tires.
