…LMP12 open modified, it was the Xray of Olly Jefferies which utterly dominated. Top qualifier by more than half a lap, Olly cruised to a comfortable win in the A final and lapped everyone except the battle for 2nd place which raged for more than 7 minutes between Chris Kerswell and Mark Stiles. Mark held his nerve for the entire race and crossed the line 2nd with his LRP and Reedy powered Yokomo R12C3. Chris Kerswell finished 3rd for Serpent/Hobbywing. The LMP12 sport class is for motors up to 10.5 turns, so effectively the same as the 10.5 stock class…

…final qualifying round. Serpent’s Chris Kerswell was having a tough weekend but managed to qualify 4th ahead of a very fast but accident prone Adam Catchpole, driving a Corally. The A-final was a lights to flag win for Olly; he was never challenged and eased away at the front, eventually winning by 5 seconds ahead of Mark Stiles who put his Yokomo on the podium for the third national in a row. …champion Olly Jefferies would line up 2nd on the grid for Team Associated with Adam Catchpole 3rd driving a Corally. These three drivers were all a reasonable chunk faster than Mark Stiles in 4th for Yokomo and Chris Kerswell who rounded out the top 5 for Serpent. The A-final saw a couple of close battles, with David Spashett and Adam Catchpole fighting over the top spot.
