…9th running of the Neo Race organised by NeoBuggy and DXR sees a welcome return to our regular Easter slot: 18-21st April 2014; after last year’s event took place during the height of the British summer. The Agricultural University Harper Adams in Shropshire continues as the venue for the event, now returned to 4 days in length – running Friday – Monday. Once again the popular “Vampire Racing” sponsored 1/8 Electric buggy class returns – limited to 45 drivers, the main nitro buggy class is limited to 225 entries. Vampire Racing is proud to announce the release of the new even turn Type AB+ V2 brushless motor series. Building on the winning heritage of the conventional half turn motor the new .0 series offers a fully rebuildable EFRA-legal design with separate stator unit, duo-balanced and Titanium-Nitride coated ‘black shaft’ rotor, replaceable rubber-sealed precision sensor unit and oversized high-quality ball bearings. Last weekend saw the final round of the Austrian 1/10h Electric Buggy Nationals held at the Steyregg track. Vampire Racing’s Rene Trauner (Yokomo) took the win both in 2WD and 4WD securing him both 2013 national titles. Vampire Racing team mate Stefan Pfeifhofer (Team Associated) ends the season in second place in 2WD and 4WD making for a perfect 1-2 finish for Vampire Racing. Multiple Portuguese National Champion, former European Champion and multiple European and World Championship podium finisher Miguel Matias recently joined the Vampire Racing factory team through to 2014 to run the company’s 1/10th and 1/8th brushless motor and speed controllers along the Vampire Racing line of high performance LiPo battery packs. He was chased by Lee Martin (Mugen) and Ryan Lutz (Team Durango) with team mate Elliott Boots taking taking the fourth qualifying spot. After a hard 12 minutes of the electric final Elliott Boots took the win coming from the lower part of the field and finishing only 1.2 seconds ahead of Ryan Lutz. Lee Martin completed the podium.
