Orcan 25Plus[+] fuel for .21 engines

Orcan 25Plus[+] fuel for .21 engines

SMI Motorsport have announced their new Orcan 25Plus[+] fuel, specially designed for .21 engines. Extensively tested, the new composition offers more power at lower engine temperatures and is clearly aimed at 1/8 scale nitro on-road cars. For off-road use the experts at SMI Motorsport recommend the tried and tested Orcan fuel with 16% and 25% nitromethane. The specific development of the Orcan 25Plus[+] is based on the Orcan 16Plus[+] which was launched a year ago and is the first choice in the 200mm touring car class. The new fuel is available from early March in handy 2.5-litre cans only.

Jilles Groskamp takes Mod TC title at Snowbirds

Tamiya/Orion factory driver Jilles Groskamp took TQ and the Win in the TC Modified at the 17th annual Snowbirds Nationals held in Orlando Florida. In qualifying it was Paul Lemieux who set early TQ but was bettered by Jilles in the very last round on Saturday. His new 417 equipped with the latest Orion Vortex modified motor was fast the whole weekend and with some latest set-up changes he was unstoppable in the last round taking TQ by 1 sec over Lemieux. In the final Jilles was chased by Lemieux and Cyrul hard but they never really got the chance to get close. All three ran a flawless race and it was Groskamp who took the win over Paul and Josh. Speedzone 2S & 1S LiPo Battery connectors

Speedzone 2S & 1S LiPo Battery connectors

Speedzone now offers a variety of connector options for LiPo batteries.  First up is a standard length connector available with a balance plug, 4mm bullet connectors and a Deans type or Traxxas connector.  These are also available without a balance plug for 1S applications, or for tight fitting areas.  Next up are 85mm length connectors which are also available with Deans type or Traxxas connectors, with and without balance plugs.  The shortened wire length allows these connectors to be used in places where room is an issue or gives the user a neat and compact finish to their wiring layout, while still using a plug and play connector for their battery packs.  Connectors come with 12 gauge wire and can be used as a harness connector for hook-up to a charger or ESC.  Speedzone also makes available their own low profile, low resistance 4mm male connectors. These types of connectors allow for soldering your wires at a 90 degree angle to the connector, permitting greater room for body and chassis clearance.
