Wallace Motorsports is excited to add, back-to-back 1/8 ROAR National Champion, 2-time Sedan ROAR Champion, and all around top American Nitro onroad talent, DJ Apolaro to the team. DJ was already using Hot Race Tyres with great results but now will be piloting Infinity cars, with Ielasi Tuned engines and PowerHD servos. DJ had this to say:

I am extremely excited to be a part of the Wallace Motorsports Team! I have seen this team continuously grow over the recent years and they already have a strong group of racers. I am fortunate to be a part of that and cannot wait to get started. They have all the high-end racing products any racer could want. Infinity, Hot Race Tires, Ielasi Motors and Power HD servos are just a few of the product lines they have, and I will be using them all moving forward. I am ready for the next chapter in my racing and want to thank Ben Wallace and team for making all this happen. See you at the track and cannot wait to help the team and customers in any way I can.

Yokomo BD10 20mm bell crank & belt tension cam

A number of new option parts from Yokomo for the BD10/9 including a 20mm aluminium steering bell crank and a belt tension adjuster cam. The bell crank is 1.5mm longer than the standard bell crank, changing the steering characteristics, increasing the turning angle of the outer tire meaning improved steering in tight corners. The belt tension adjuster cam has been machined from hard resin and allows the axle to be set in a higher position than the standard cam of the kit. It also makes it possible to optimise the angle of the dog bone when setting the vehicle height on low grip circuits. Finally, there are two sets of 3mm teflon spacers for the suspension arms. An ideal spacer for adjusting the wheelbase of on-road and drift cars the spacers are made from Teflon resin and are very smooth. This makes it possible to reduce the friction of suspension movement during acceleration and deceleration, and obtain a smooth feeling by fitting this spacer between the suspension arm and suspension mount.

SMJ 1mm thick tungsten plates

From SMJ in Japan comes these two tungsten plates, both with a thickness of 1mm. The larger plate can be used to adjust the left and right weight balance by placing it under the receiver and ESC. It is especially suitable for stock class with large capacity batteries and small, lightweight ESCs. Since it is only 1mm thick, it barely affects the centre of gravity. The smaller plate can be placed anywhere on your car for adjusting the weight balance. The larger plate is 53x33x1mm and weighs 34grams, while the smaller plate is 33×16.7x1mm and weighs 11grams.

Cheat Parts YZ4FS front lower suspension block

From Swiss brand Cheat Parts comes this front lower suspension block for the Yokomo YZ4FS Mk.I and Mk.II. Improving the front end geometry it will give you more adjustability and equals out the front and rear roll centre. Front lift during acceleration and front dive during braking will be reduced and you can run the car with less ride height, therefore lowering the centre of gravity. By speeding up lateral and reducing longitudinal geometric weight transfer the car gains response and stability. The new bumper design is working as an airdam, preventing unnecessary air flowing under the chassis and with front aero lift reduced, cornering speed in fast turns will increase. The part is machined in Switzerland from Swiss 7075 aluminium and anodised in black for improved rigidity.

JConcepts 1963 Ford Falcon Street Eliminator body

This new 1963 Ford Falcon from JConcepts is intended for street racing and drops to the popular Team Associated DR10 and SCT conversions as well as drag racing builds currently in the market. During the design, it was important to maintain a narrow width to match track widths of popular vehicles and to slip through the air at a high rate of speed. Also, a lower trim line on the sides and front chin-spoiler minimises draft inside the body shell. The round and beady headlights create the feel for this legendary vehicle and the bar grille separates a broad front-end. The front bumper is moulded in position along with an additional and lower trim-line for racing purposes. The hood-scoop buries into the windshield providing that racy look while the cab itself looks strong with chiseled window framing and mock trim package. The rear fender torpedoes back to create the base for rear taillights and a drop-down through the rear bumper to complete some of the futuristic styling. The side panels of the body are quite recessed and with included decals, the arrow shaped body trim can be mocked into position for a more ‘Falcon-ized’ appearance.
