Just a week ahead of the 1/8th scale buggy World Championships, Team Associated have announced that Ryan Maifield has extended his contract which sees him continue with Associated, Reedy and LRP products. Over the years, Maifield has won countless titles, including multiple ROAR National Championships in a wide variety of categories, including 1:8 Gas Buggy, 1:8 Electric Buggy, 1:8 Gas Truggy, 2WD Electric Truck, 2WD Short Course and 4WD Electric Buggy. When asked about his re-signing, Maifield had this to say:
Team Associated has been behind me since the beginning of my racing career, and during the highs and lows they have always been supportive and constructive. I have many friends at Associated that are 100% committed to me and the products they produce, so it was a no-brainer when it came to sign a new contract to stay with the company that has been there through it all. New for the LAB-C01, Capricorn have released these 5.8mm flanged uniballs for the rear upper suspension upright mounts. The new flange on the ball ensures that the plastic ball joint will not be popped off in the event of an impact and crash as it prevents it from doing so.

New from Tourex is this Daniel Reckward Edition of the RT Speed 2.5 Mix clutch assembly. Muchmore Racing have announced that front running German electric touring car driver Christopher Krapp has joined Team Muchmore for 2010 and 2011. The Kyosho driver placed 4th at this year’s World Championships and has many other good results to his name including winning the German Outdoor Nationals in 2009 and multiple European Championship A-main appearances. Christopher had the following the say about his new deal:
