Mark Green switches to Novarossi engines

Multiple World Championship finalist and Pre Worlds winner, Mark Green, has announced that he has signed for Italian engine maker Novarossi World. The British racer had until recently used Mega powerplants to power his Serpent chassis’ but will now use Novarossi’s new 353 and Flash engines in the 1/10th and 1/8th scale classes respectively. Mark will soon announce more new sponsors, as he gears up both the European 1/10th scale Championships in Gubbio Italy, and of course the 1/8th scale World Championships in Lostallo, Swtizerland.

Designed to store your 1/8th scale buggy with a side compartment for your transmitter, it can also accept a specifically designed box for the main compartment which has green adhesive tags used on internal compartments to enhance the strength of the box. Light, durable and weatherproofed to keep your items stored safely in harsh track environments or wet conditions, the base has been reinforced with special materials to add strength and to improve the bag’s ability to carry heavy items. When not in use it can be folded flat.

KM Racing Imperial tool range

Similar to the tools released by KM Racing last September, these new additions to the range come in Imperial sizes. Fitted with special chrome hardened steel tool tips, the hollow lightweight handles are 18mm in diameter for better grip and have 4mm holes to be able to enhance the leverage using another tool tip. Available in .050″, .063″, .093 (in both normal hex & ball), as well as nut drivers in 3/16″, 1/4″ and 11/32″, all tools have the inch size engraved in large writing on the handle for easy identification and are supplied with the end cap as standard.

With Losi pushing full ahead into the brushless 1/8th scale scene, they need to release some additional extras to help with their performance and this 8ight-E aluminium motor heat sink is one such item. It helps to dissipate the heat produced by high-powered electric motors providing lower operating temperatures, by up to 25 to 30 degrees, longer run times and increased motor life. Suitable for 670-sized motors, it installs easily and removes easily for maintenance.

Fastrax have released this purpose designed tire hole punch, designed to make quick and easy air holes in your off road tires. It’s special inwardly rotating barrel allows pressure to be applied while the cutting tip cuts through the tire wall producing perfect holes every time. Featuring a large blue anodized handle, the Fastrax logo is printed in white on the side.

Francesco Tironi to switch to Mugen

Francesco Tironi to switch to Mugen

F.V.S.S. Racing Team in Italy have announced that current Italian 1/10th 200mm Touring car champion Francesco Tironi will be joining their team in 2009. Francesco will be making the change to Mugen Seiki this year, leaving behind a long standing deal with Kyosho Japan that has seen them reach World and European Championship finals together. Tironi will continue to compete in the 1/8th and 1/10th scale classes and will stick with long term engine partner Sirio, while for fuel he will run the Master Fuel by Capricorn RC, with Matrix Tires and KO Propo completing his sponsor list.

Much More Comm polishing set

Much More Comm polishing set

For those racers that don’t use brushless motors, Much More have released this handy Comm polisher set. It comes with an aluminium dial and a polishing stick and it works by simply removing the brush and inserting the stick. You then mount the dial on the end of the shaft, and lock it in place with its grubscrew, and rotate the dial counter clockwise 10 times and the polishing stick will have the comm polished like new. No need to remove the commutator from the motor or have an expensive comm lathe. The stick is available in both medium and hard versions.
