Our Swiss friends over at RC World have some news on the new LRP Factory Team version of their great little Shark 18. We have written about the RTR version before and commented on its speed so this new factory kit version should be ballistic with all the team bits included. This limited edition version comes with anodised aluminium CVDs, front and rear anti-roll bars, aluminium shock absorbers and lots and lots of carbon which should all increase the cars durability and reduce the cars weight.
Even more stuff from Upgrade RC, in what has been a busy week for them, and this new offering is especially interesting for Team Losi 8ight truggy drivers who feel the need to customise their ride. New decal sets are available for this car and as always they look awesome, with more versions to come soon.
OFNA Racing have announced the release of their Ultra LX One RTR 1/8th scale buggy. We received a mail from the guys over at Bonisio informing us that the entries for this years Euro ‘B’ Championships, in Tolmin Slovenia, are filling up fast and attracting some quality drivers to boot. British Junior Champion Ian Campbell and Slovenian National Champion Jernej Vuga are the latest Champions to confirm their entry for the EFRA European Championship 1:8 IC Track B 2007 that takes place on the 25th – 27th of May. The latter driver has the benefit of local track knowledge, which combined with international experience and having been a Vice Champion at the 2003 Euro B’s in Switzerland, will make Vuga one of the favourites for the event. Vuga has also confirmed his move from Serpent to new sponsor, Mugen, for the 2007 season.
RB Products, the French competition engine manufacturer, have announced their latest 3.5cc buggy motor, the S3. This budget engine is a 3 port motor that is perfectly suited for both club racers and beginners looking for an engine that offers great fuel economy while keeping ones budget in mind.
The latest S3 comes equipped with an 8mm composite carburator to keep operating temps and engine consistency constant. The new cylinder head stands a whopping 11 fins tall and retains the “RB” Orange colors, your competition will know whats under the hood with its laser engravings reading MSC and S3 on top. The combustion chamber is an integrated part of the cylinder head to ensure optimum performance.
Hot Bodies have released this front solid axle set for use with their Cyclone 190mm toruing car. This axle comes as standard with the Cyclone World Champion Edition and now it is available to be used in all other versions of the car. The Version 3 of this axle set uses steel outdrives which increases durability and therefore increases the time between rebuilds.
Using the valuable ‘spool’ effect, you will get maximum front traction on all types of tracks. From tight, twisty tracks with high traction to wide, low traction surfaces, you get the advantage of outbraking the competition and turning tight into the corner!
