Traxxas TRX-4 Traxx deep-terrain treads

Traxxas have introduced their new deep-terrain treads for the TRX-4 Traxx system that extend the all-terrain abilities of Traxx-equipped vehicles to extreme surface conditions like deep snow, sand, and mud. The purposefully-engineered treads dig deep and pack into loose surfaces for maximum bite to power through the most challenging conditions. The wide contact patch provides additional flotation to keep your Traxx-equipped model running strong on top of loose surfaces.

VRP PR Racing XV3 shock pistons

Vision Racing Products are busy adding more XV3 shock pistons to their ever growing range with the latest offerings being made especially for the PR Racing line of vehicles. Available as Black Flat and EU version white variants, the pistons come complete with the transition valve pre-installed. The rebound booster hole has been precision drilled to the exact size VRP’s testing found to be the best all around setting. This yields excellent results that are proven on a variety of track surfaces; from rough, blown out tracks, to smooth, indoor clay. The difference between the Black Flat and the EU White pistons is the return rate. The return hole in the EU is smaller then the Black and gives less rebound. This matches up better for higher grip surfaces like carpet and turf. The pistons are available as 2-hole 1.5, 1.6, and 1.7 standard and “EU Version” variants from now on.

Factory Team precision-ground diff rings

Coming from Associated Electric’s Factory Team brand are precision-ground diff rings for 2.60:1 ball diffs. The precision comes from a flatter, tighter tolerance diff ring that will result in smoother diff operation and longer life, therefore increasing time between rebuilds. The rings are a direct upgrade for #7666 diff drive rings and they fit RC10B4 to B6 series, SC5M and SC6.1, RC10T4.1 to T6.1, and all SC10s buggies and trucks using ball diffs.

Reedy Sonic 540-M4 competition brushless motor

Available now from Reedy is their new Sonic 540-M4 competition brushless motor. Internally, the 540-M4 is very similar to that of the 540-M3 that it replaces – it produces the same linear powerband and excellent mid-range feel that have become synonymous with Reedy’s modified motors. However, changes can be good when they serve a purpose. In the case of the 540-M4, the inner bearing has been moved so that it is part of the can instead of the sensor assembly, which more precisely aligns the rotor within the magnetic field while reducing noise and vibration. Externally, the motor has been shortened, which results in more centralised weight distribution within the chassis. The reduced 50.3mm length, combined with improvements to the can design, results in a 5g to 10g reduction in weight. A balanced, high-strength rotor provides powerful fade-free performance. A variety of optional rotors are available to fine-tune for specific applications and tracks. Precision stainless steel ball bearings have been fitted to reliably accommodate high RPM loads. Several versions, including .0T “even” and a 1/12th scale 1S variant, are available and all meet ROAR, EFRA, and IFMAR specifications.
