Spanish EFRA 1/8th GP – Videos

Robert Pietsch wins Spanish EFRA GP

German Sheperd Velox driver Robert Pietsch has claimed victory at this weekends Spanish EFRA GP at the Valencia track, host of this years European Championships. Starting from the pole position Pietsch had a some problems which dropped him nearly a lap down as his team mate Daniele Ielasi took the early lead. Pietsch started his comeback and was gaining ground due to better fuel economy and when Ielasi ran into problems about 2/3rds of the way into the race, Pietsch took over at the front, in front of Pirani in 2nd and Alberto Picco in 3rd with these 2 swapping…

Robert Pietsch TQs Spanish EFRA GP

We received an update from Valencia Spain, where the Euros warm up event is taking place for 1/8th scale on road and after qualifying it was current German National Champion Robert Pietsch on pole position followed by Shepherd Velox team mate Daniele Ielasi in 2nd. Robert was the only driver to make 18 laps and behind him it was very close with fuel consumption being a big problem for many drivers. The track conditions so far have been very good, with only some light rain drops falling during qualifying but not enough to disturb the racers. The semi finals start…

Christian Wurst wins German West Rd3

Last weekend saw the 3rd round of the West German Championship take place at the Motodrom Rhein-Ahr track. Practice on Saturday was run under good weather conditions and temperatures between 14°C and 16°C and from the beginning it was clear that Christian Wurst with his JP-powered Velox was the man to beat. After 4 qualifying heats on Sunday he had taken the pole-postion by 4 seconds from Serpent SDD driver Tobias Hepp in 2nd. Richard Volta wins French 1/8 Nats Rd2

…meant the win went to Tequi, from Baehrel in 2nd and Arnaud Mathieu in 3rd. In the Elite class final Volta got straight into the lead but was hassled for the first half of the race by the chasing pair of Nicolas Guillot and Jérôme Papaconstantinos. Volta, driving a Shepherd Velox, eventually managed to pull out a gap and take the win, and following problems for Guillot, the Kyosho pairing of Papaconstantinos and Adrien Siefried finished in 2nd and 3rd. Domenico Calce wins Italian F1 Nats Rd1

The opening round of the AMSCI Italian 1/8th scale Nationals for F1 level drivers was run at the weekend in Bologna. Qualifying for the race was headed up by ATS shod Serpent racer Giordano Agostinelli with team mate Alberto Tadeshi in 2nd, and young Shepherd Velox driver Stefano Pregnolato in 3rd. Robert Pietsch joins ATS Tyres

Current German 1/8th and 1/10th 200mm National Champion Robert Pietsch has been confirmed to have switched to Italian tyre supplier ATS. Debuting with his new foam at last weekend’s Pre Worlds in Portugal, the Shepherd Velox designer used his Xray NT1 to qualify in 2nd position before going on to finish the hour long final in 3rd behind ATS team mates Dario Balestri and eventual winner Daniele Ielasi.
