Xray have introduced the 2017 variant of their successful NT1 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road kit. Arena have introduced a range of aluminium servo mount collars and low-friction shock O-rings for Xray vehicles. As for the servo mount collars, the parts are machined from high-quality aluminium and they are used to prevent the servo from moving in its mounts as they interlock with the case’s lugs, effectively preventing the servo from moving during a hard hit. The mounting collars are available in orange, black and blue colour. …Tom Kraegefski (Xray NT1) in the field, Liebenberg would have to be at his best. They did not disappoint and this was most certainly the highlight of the weekend. In the end, Kraegefski edged out Liebenberg to take TQ. Another dark horse this weekend was Willie du Plooy (Xray NT1), who managed to put in some solid runs, and qualify 3rd. …with the A-main consisting of just eight, Nick Keown took the lead with his sport engine powered Xray NT1 and kept the car steady enough to claim the victory. Blake Bell and Luke Pittman would work their way up to 2nd and 3rd as TQ John Tsang and second qualifier KJ Jones suffered mechanical failures early in the race. Xray has introduced an optional brass engine mount for the NT1’16 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road kit. Providing solid engine mounting and easy gear mesh adjustment the part also adds a certain weight which can be beneficial in various track conditions as the mount moves the weight balance further back, improving the rotation of the car in medium-high traction conditions. Coming from Xray and made for the NT1 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road car is a rear graphite chassis stiffener. Designed to eliminate flex around the engine area the brace comes in handy especially on high-bite tracks as it couples the radio plate mount and the 2-speed bulkhead, resulting in a reinforced rear chassis section.
