Oscar Cabezas joins Novarossi team

Multiple Spanish National Champion Oscar Cabezas has signed for Novarossi. Leaving behind a successful run with Mega engines, the 1/8th European Championship direct qualifier, will use the Italian company’s engines to power his 1/8th scale chassis, the class he will focus on in the build up to the World Championships held next year in Lostallo, Switzerland.

Team Hurricane 5200mAh 35C LiPo

Hurricane Motorsports have released the 2nd battery in their new line of LiPos. This new pack is a 5200mAh monster with a 35C rating, which features a carbon look hard case, and has pre wired end mounted power cables with Traxxas type plug and balancer port.

Fastrax Medium Downforce wings

Fastrax have announced the release of some new 1/8th scale buggy wings. Available in black, white and yellow, they represent the latest in 1/8th styling and performance. These medium downforce wings are very durable, fit all 1/8th scale buggies & trucks and can even be stickered up with the new range of Fastrax wing decals.

PN Racing Mini-Z World Cup Finals

Reflex Racing were in touch to tell us about their success at the recent PN Racing Mini-Z World Cup Finals in Las Vegas. 1/28 scale racing continues to grow around the world, and with this event very well attended, the Reflex International Team managed to score at least one podium in every class with their team drivers Jacob Feinstein and Lex Tyler sweeping the 2WD classes. Mugen MBX-6 lightweight options

Mugen have released a number of new items for their new 1/8th scale buggy, the MBX-6. First up is this pair of aluminium axle shafts that are hard coated and in a set of 4 are 22 grams lighter than the standard kit shafts. To further lighten your car, there is a pair of hard coated aluminium joint cups that offer a saving of 12.5 grams for the pair. Finally, to further strengthen your car, there is an optional front upper arm mount made from hard coated aluminium.

Hobbytech STR8 Rally Game chassis

Hobbytech have released their STR8 Rally Game chassis which has been developed and tuned specifically for this class of racing. This ready to run chassis features a complete set of precision rubber sealed ball bearings, front CVD drive shaft, 3mm front and rear shock towers, 3mm special narrow chassis and flower brake discs. The car is powered by a GO 21 pull start engine, polished in-line pipe, has aluminium front and rear stiffeners and to help it get around the track is is fitted with a 9kg metal gear steering servo.

Novarossi Plus 4 buggy engine

Novarossi, always working on improving their products and staying ahead of the competition, have released the Plus 4 Buggy engine. This new engine has been designed from a clean sheet of paper, incorporating their usual high standards for quality and performance. During the 1/8th scale buggy World Championship held earlier this year the company’s team drivers did extensive test work, making this already good engine even better. At the moment Novarossi are finalizing the last details of this engine, but for those who put their order in early enough they have released 180 Pre-Series engines for the American market only. The final version will be available in the coming months.

Team Orion confirm Stefan Hanauer

Team Orion have officially confirmed that current German National Champion Stefan Hanauer has joined their team, debuting with his new equipment already back in October. Having used RB products since 2004 he has now joined the Swiss team which is led by former World Champion Adrien Bertin. Stefan is well known for his experience on national and international level and will use the latest Team Orion products in his Kyosho Evolva M3. In close collaboration with designer Adrien Bertin and top Orion driver Ilia van Gastel, they will focus on next years World Championship on the company’s home turf in Lostallo, Switzerland.
