STRC introduce new Enduro aluminium & brass options

STRC continues the support of the Element RC Enduro trail truck community with more option parts. First up are CNC machined aluminium upper shock caps that improve the durability while adding great accented look to the scale crawler rig. The machined grips around the shock caps makes it easier to assemble and disassemble during rebuilds. The caps are available in black, gun metal, limited edition red, and silver anodising. Also new are CNC machined brass lower spring retainers and lower shock/suspension link mounts with the part adding a combine total of nearly 60 grams to the lower parts of the truck, upping stability over steep climbs. No logo engraving on these components help keeping the scale rig looking realistic.

JConcepts 2005 Chevy 1500 Samson MT body shell

Coming from JConcepts is their new 2005 Chevy 1500 Samson body shell for rigid axle monster trucks. When it comes to original and trend setting designs, Dan Patrick is a legend in the sport of monster truck racing. A chassis builder since 1989, Dan’s designs and inspiration lives through many components in the monster truck industry and of course, his world famous, Samson truck. Now JConcepts brings another favorite to the circuit with the RC version of the famous “big gunned” Monster truck. Starting with the 2005 Chevy Silverado, the JConcepts team took a considerable amount of time to blend the 3D Samson arms into the design. The blended truck and character have been around since Dan Patrick was contracted by a TV company in the early 90’s to produce something for the famous show, American Gladiator. Since then, it’s been a trademark of the Samson team to run the “big guns” on every racing vehicle in the line-up. The body was developed for 12.5” wheelbase trucks and a twin-port grille, full-width bumper and power hump hood create a strong presence, which is carried through in sculpted body sides. The grille area has not been compromised and accepts the detailed JConcepts decal sheet and includes two different grille and headlight options. The front fascia is strong and while the large tire openings swoop through, the bumper has recessed areas for side-marker lights and air inlet. The tailgate is rigid in appearance with a slight undercut that is so common on the Chevrolet trucks. The 2005 Silverado’s bed features a slight recess which painters can leave clear or detail to their specification on any build. No race truck would be complete without a bobbed rear bedside to give racers extra clearance and an unmistakable visual rake. Each package includes window mask, 2005 generation Chevy Silverado specific decal sheet, racerback, visor and clear polycarbonate body. In addition, this body includes the Samson graphics wrap that can be applied to the finished product for that final appearance.

Alpha Fire Power Pro Blend nitro fuels

Coming from X-Factory UK is their new Alpha Fire Power Pro Blend nitro fuel. Made exclusively in the UK in conjunction with Alpha Plus, the Pro Blend fuel line was developed with the demanding competition racer in mind. Featuring a specially formulated synthetic/castor oil blend, this racing fuel is formulated for maximum acceleration, huge power, cooler running, extended run-time and easier tuning. Experienced racers and newcomers alike will find the Alpha Fire Power fuel to be extremely efficient with up to ten to 15 percent extra run time, giving drivers the ultimate edge and advantage for those longer gaps between pit stops. The fuel is available in 16 percent and 25 percent nitro blends and in one litre, 2.27 litre and 4.55 litre cans. Rounding out the range is the Alpha Protektor after-run oil. The lubrication should be put into the engine after each race or practice day of use to give additional corrosion protection. Ten to 15 drops should be put down the glow plug opening and the same down the air filter opening in the carburettor for maximum protection. The product also makes a superb general purpose lubricating oil and is supplied in a spouted container.

Inertia Screws True Size anodised metric screws

Inertia Screws have introduced their new “True Size” line of coloured button head screws that are designed to be true to length, driver size, and are manufactured with tighter tolerances using high strength materials and finishes. The fasteners are doing away with common problems associated with cheaper screws that are often made using soft material and that sport shafts and lengths that are undersized, minimising the full contact of the threads. True Size hardware is made of 7075-T651 aluminium and it is made with a 50 percent tighter head tolerance all while offering a “True Size” thread and length. Inertia’s new deep button head design is raising the standard by providing a strategically thicker shoulder that resists being twisted off or rounded out – introducing good wear and value characteristics – especially when used with older drivers. The fasteners are available in ten popular colours, in quantities of ten, and in kits.
