Mini RallyX Nordic Cup – Report

With full scale rally cars and cross karts as backdrop, Black Track RC held their first Mini RallyX Nordic Cup this past weekend at Motorsport Nordjylland, Denmark. Featuring the Traxxas Ford Fiesta ST Rally cars straight from the box, the cup is both affordable and challenging for drivers of any skill level as the class is locked to stock electronics including the transmitter. Erik Pedersen took a hard-fought TQ over Per Eriksen in the qualifying rounds and Dennis Falk taking a solid 3rd. It was a really close race in the first main but small mistakes from Pedersen gave Eriksen the win. In leg 2, Pedersen lost his rhythm letting Eriksen sail to the lead, which he held all the way to the checkered flag giving him the overall #1 spot and Pedersen 2nd. Dennis Falk kept his 3rd through out the mains leaving rookie drivers Søren Pedersen and young William Vinther battling for 4th and 5th. Between heats spectators got a chance at racing with the Traxxas cars as the club has seven kits they rent out at events to help promote the sport. At the end of the day the drives from both full scale and RC were celebrated at the podium. The club will be hosting the final round of the Danish nationals for 10th scale electric 2WD, 4WD and Stadium Truck in August.

Thanks to Kristian Lauridsen for the report.
