Mugen Seiki MBX8 Worlds Edition Nitro Buggy kit

Mugen Seiki have released the MBX8 Worlds Edition Nitro Buggy kit. It includes many of option parts used by Mugen Seiki drivers at the 2018 IFMAR World Championship where the Japanese brand had four MBX8’s in the 60 Minute final with Ryan Maifield finishing on the podium. The MBX8 Worlds Edition includes inline front uprights that have smoother steering compared to the stock trailing front uprights and work great in high traction conditions. The -3mm front upright arms are also included and improve the initial steering response and make the vehicle more stable through the middle and exit of the corner. Different transmission parts are also supplied such as the 46 tooth HTD spur gear, 12T bevel gear, 42T conical gear, front and rear-centre dogbones and finally the +15mm wing mount.

Reds Racing 721 S Scuderia engine

Having teased their new release on social media, Reds Racing have finally introduced their new generation of nitro off-road engines called S Line, the first of which is a 7 ports 3.5cc off-road engine called the 721 S Scuderia. The new 721 S Scuderia features high reliability, tuning stability and great fuel mileage which combined with specific technical changes in the porting and new materials, give this 7 port engine higher power and better fuel efficiency compared to previous Reds engine. Testing has show the new engine is able to provide 10% more torque, making it suitable for both Buggy and Truggy and has proved to guarantee over 9 minutes runtime in recent competitions and tests thanks to new materials and coatings.

RSRC 8ight-X/XE wing shim

Fresh from Renaud Savoya’s RSRC line of options parts comes this plastic wing shim for the TLR 8ight-X / XE. Used by the A team, this 10mm wing shim will give a more natural feeling and stability to the car, also allowing more rotation in the 180° corners. It comes supplied with 2 M3x25mm screws for a direct mounting.

Ninja JX21-B05 offroad buggy engine

Mugen Racing have introduced their all new Ninja JX21-B05 offroad buggy engine. Featuring a 3-port long-stroke design that offers smooth low-end power and exceptional mid to top-end power, the crankcase, backplate and carburettor feature a new design. The new DLC-coated crankshaft is silicone filled and has two tungsten counterweights for smooth rotation and better balancing. The new fuel-efficient 22E carburettor is easy to tune and provides great throttle response and smooth acceleration. The B05 comes with a lightweight cooling head to provide exceptional cooling and stable operating temperatures. An o-ring between the cooling head and the combustion camber creates a better seal and reduces vibration.

FX Engines K501 3.5cc off-road engine

FX Engines have introduced their new K501 3.5cc nitro off-road engine. Utilising a 5-port design the FX’s latest K5 series power plant offers maximised bottom and mid-range power and it features a DLC-coated and Tungsten-balanced crankshaft, ceramic bearings and a specially selected and matched sleeve and piston set. The package is rounded out by a 10-rib engine head.

Yokomo LC transmission case for YZ-2 series

Yokomo have announced the release of a new LC (Laydown/Carpet) transmission case for carpet, astro and high traction dirt surfaces made for their YZ-2 series of vehicles. The case is a 3-piece construction which allows for quick and easy diff access and uses the same style transmission cam adapter system as their current YZ-2T LD transmission case, which makes raising and lowering the diff a breeze. Giving you the lowest possible centre of gravity which improves the overall handling and performance of the vehicle on high traction surfaces.

Yoshii double at Northwest Stock Championships

The 2nd Annual Northwest Stock Championships were held this past weekend at PDX RC Underground in Portland, Oregon. This is the home track of our Muchmore USA Team Manager Joe Pillars, who also helped put on this event for the second straight year with track owner Kevin Focht. After nearly doubling the total race entries from just one year ago, the stage was set for a great day of racing. In the Pro 17.5 2wd Stock Buggy class, Pillars took the TQ’s in Rounds #1 & 2 with his Muchmore powered Yokomo while team mate Harley Yoshii then went onto reset the overall TQ in Round to start on the pole for the triple A-Mains.

XRS Challenge Offroad Germany – Report

This past Weekend the Final Round of the HK Cup, this time combined with a XRS Challenge, took place in Hurtgenwald in the West of Germany. With over 60 entries the day started early at 8.30 with 3 rounds of qualifications followed by 3 finals. Xray´s Jens Becker TQ’d the 2WD Modified class and also took the overall win followed by Yannik Holzknecht and Nikolas Schmitz.
