MR33 have introduced their new battery mount set for the Yokomo YZ-2CAL3 buggy. The lightweight LiPo mount consists of machined carbon fibre battery locators that utilise O-ring quick release mounts while the locators – and thus the shorty battery pack – can be shifted forth and back in order to fine-tune the car’s weight balance. The opening round of the Tonisport Onroad Series North Division was held recently at the RC Team Nord Megadrom track in Hasloh near Hamburg. The race was held on a tight high-grip track which made things difficult especially for the Touring Modified drivers. In the end it was veteran racer, Uwe Reimers with the day’s win from a hard charing Sören Sparbier 2nd and Christian Stolze in 3rd. The 2019 Tonisport Master were held at the Arena33 indoor track in Andernach this past weekend. In the competitive Touring 13.5T class it was Frederik Brolos Mikkelsen with the overall TQ after winning two of the three qualifying rounds, leaving behind Simon Lauter on the runner-up spot. The opening A-main again saw Frederik holding the upper hand from Tobias Vogel while in A2 it was Simon with the win from Frederik. All teams could finish the race and there were almost no technical issues instead of some broken plastic parts During the following trophy presentation every driver received his personal winner plate which will always remind him of this unique event which really showed the spirit and sportsmanship that makes RC racing the great sport it is. Round 6 of the Tonisport Onroad Series North Division was held at the RCCT Münden track in Hannoversch Münden, Germany this past weekend. The race also was the warm-up event to the German Electric On-road Nationals that will be held at the same track later this Summer and in the premier Touring Modified class it was Awesomatix’s Freddy Südhoff with the overall TQ, tie on points with Yokomo’s Ronald Völker.
