Baldes brothers join Mugen Team Germany

Joerg and Uwe Baldes will race for Mugen Team Germany in the 2010 season. With the successful and established chassis of the Japanese manufacturer Mugen Seiki the brothers will enter the 1/8 as well as the 1/10 scale nitro class. Both will mainly compete in races in Western Germany and also at the German Nationals in both categories. Oberhausen 3-hour race for 1/10 nitro

A 3-hour race for 1/10 nitro touring cars will be held as a season opener on Saturday, 27th of March, at Oberhausen in Western Germany. Up to eleven teams with three drivers each and with one to three cars per team can compete in the long-distance race on the well-known 234 meter track. Western Germany 2010 nitro calendar

Having covered the racing from the West German region in depth last season, we plan to do the same this year and to get things underway we have the full regional calendar for 2010. A total of 14 races will be held in the 2010 season in Western Germany in the 1/8 and 1/10 nitro on-road classes. The Western German Championship 1/8 (class 1 and 2) will be held in four rounds as well as the Western German Championship 1/10 (200mm). Award Ceremony at West Nitro Brunch

In a ceremonious environment 38 impressive trophies were presented to the best of the 2009 NRW Challenge and the 2009 Western German Championship. Around 60 rc drivers, wives and girlfriends attended the “West Nitro Brunch” held at Oberhausen last Sunday. It has been the first time that such a prize giving ceremony was held for both on road categories 1/8 and 1/10 in Western Germany. Finally, this award has been an astonishing success. Team 966 wins 3 hour race at Oberhausen

The Team 966 with Tobias Hepp, Alain Levy, Frank Schewiola (all of them with Serpent 966) and young Jean-Pierre Roenicke (Kyosho) have won the “3 hour race” at Oberhausen, the heart of rc racing in Western Germany. When the checkered flag dropped the team had covered 482 laps and an advantage of 19 laps to Motonica Team Germany with Christian Wurst, Joerg Baldes and Uwe Baldes (all Motonica P81). MRC Oberhausen 3 Hour race – Announcement

Extraordinary conditions and remarkable scenery will be experienced when the MRC Oberhausen hosts its “3 hour race” for the 1/8 nitro onroad class on Saturday, 7th of November. The race will start at 4pm and will be run under flood lights until the checkered flag drops at 7pm. Buerge & Hepp on top at NRW Challenge Rd2

Oberhausen, the heart of rc racing in Western Germany, held round two of the new NRW Challenge (NRW = German State North Rhine-Westphalia) under great conditions with blue sky and temperatures around 22 degrees Celsius on both days. Lots of spectators saw hot racing with 46 competitors and exciting fights but also partly over-motivated drivers and lots of flying cars. 81 entries at the German 1/10 nitro Nationals

81 drivers have entered the German Championship of the 1/10 200mm nitro class which will be held the upcoming weekend on the beautiful track at Tuerkheim in the south of Germany. Free practice started on Wednesday and lots of competitors were already present to take the opportunity for lots of track time.
