2019 CTS4 – Announcement

The popular Champion Touring Series race series will kick off its fourth season from the 18th to 20th of January at 702 Raceway in Las Vegas, Nevada. For 2019 some major changes are planned for the CTS4 with the new platform being an Exhibition Series with no points chase and is happening across the USA. 12th Scale and Pro 10 will be an addition to the series due to the popular demand in pan car. The Spec Tire for Touring will be Elexis while USGT uses Gravity mesh wheel radial tires and Formula as well as Pan Cars are open tire. There is also a new racing format which entails one seeding round and three qualifiers using IFMAR qualifying with rocket round on Saturday. On Sunday, racers that make the A-Main will have three chances to win a trophy for the Exhibition round including the top qualifier. The vision for this season is to bring the platform across the country versus racing only in California. This breeds more RC racing and will grow the hobby. Champion Touring Series would like to welcome the new tracks below for the 2019 schedule as follows. Full details and the complete 7-race schedule can be found on social media here.

Fenix G56 200mm & 235mm pan cars

Fenix have introduced their new G56 1/10th pan car platform that includes 200mm World GT and 235mm Pro10 cars. Both cars are available in conventional 256mm wheelbase pivot rear suspension design or as 275mm wheelbase V-link/Quad-link variant with the latter being very popular for high-powered Pro10 cars. From default the pivot cars are usable with transversal or inline shorty packs while the V-link cars also accept standard touring car packs. Both cars share as many components as possible including the all-new front end consisting of flex-adjustable 2.5mm carbon fibre lower arms and a 2.5mm upper beam. Also the chassis can be swapped between the two versions, allowing to build a LWB pivot or SWB V-link car. The kits are available with a high-torque ball or easy-to-use gear differential – both of which rely on titanium axles for a low weight, precision and durability – and they are available from now on.
