The Xray Racing Series Finland will be held at Fullspeed RC in Hakkila, Vantaa on March 2nd. The race will see Touring Modified, Touring Pro-Stock, Formula and 1/12th scale racing and more information can soon be found here.

Shepherd sign Andrea Pirani

Shepherd have announced the signing of Italian frontrunner and multiple national champion, Andrea Pirani to their team for the 2019 season. The multiple ENS and European Championship podium finisher will join an already strong national lineup to attend all major races with his Velox V8. Furthermore Andrea will bring in his vast experience, helping with testing and developing future Shepherd 1/8th scale products. Andrea had the following to say about the deal:

I’m super happy to stay in a so famous team like Shepherd, composed by many drivers on the top level like Simon and Toni. For sure I will do my best to take the best results at 2019 races.

Destiny VD12-2019 conversion kits

Coming soon from Destiny are two 2019 specification conversion kits for the VD12 1/12th scale pan car. Available as carbon or aluminium chassis version, the kits include new main chassis plates, new lower pod plates as well as updated floating servo mount and centre shock plates. Also included are redesigned aluminium power pod side plates. The conversions were thoroughly tested by Destiny’s Yugo Nagashima and they will hit stores soon.

Gizmo introduce new Genesis & GZ2 optionals

Reflex Racing have introduced new optionals for the Gizmo Genesis and GZ2 touring cars. First up is a long arm conversion kit that has been designed for the use in combination with the V2 uprights. Contrary to typical longer arms, these arms actually make the suspension act softer as the distance between lower shock mounts and outer arm pivot has been increased. The pivot of the uprights has been moved out further which in the front end allows for less wheel scrub as well as more wheel support. The result is a more precise car, with more stability and higher corner speeds. The conversion works with the Genesis and GZ2 kits, however the latter requires the use of angled ball ends for rear toe link.

Danish EP On-road Nationals Rd4 – Report

Round 4 of the Danish Electric on-road national was hosted by the Birkerod Radio Control Club this past weekend. Touring Super Stock attracted 22 entries and saw Xray’s Kevin Nielsen making a clean sweep in the qualifiers and he also came out on top in the triple A-mains for the overall. Frederik Brolos Mikkelsen (Awesomatix) and Patrick Folman (Xray) rounded out the top 3.

PSM TT-02S SSBB GT low-profile shock towers

Coming from PSM and made for the popular Tamiya TT-02S entry-level 4WD touring car are new low-profile SSBB GT shock towers. Available separately for the front and rear of the car, the shock stays are cut from high-quality 3.0mm carbon fibre and they are of an updated geometry to accept Tamiya’s SSBB shock absorbers and the latest generation of 1/10th GT body shells. The shock stays are a direct fit, they offer several shock and camber link mounting positions and include an aluminium hardware kit for mounting.

Arrowmax Arrowspace T4 magnesium chassis

Coming soon from Arrowmax’s new Arrowspace series of magnesium chassis is a dedicated variant for the Xray T4. Machined from high-quality magnesium material and coming with a white ceramic coating for wear, the chassis will be about 40 percent lighter than a standard aluminium chassis while offering different flex characteristics. Full information will become available in time for the release.
