Pro-Line Positron VTR 4.0 & Pyramid 2WD tyres

Pro-Line have introduced two new competition off-road tyres in the form of the Positron VTR 4.0” 1/8th truck and Pyramid 2.2” 2WD buggy front tyre. Starting with the Positron, the tyre was designed from the ground up with an all-new and futuristic directional tread design for improved grip and corner speed on indoor clay tracks. The tread design pays homage to the Electron and Ion tyre before it with the two centre pins boxed in by connected bars for a familiar Pro-Line signature look. From there the connected bars shoot off at angles that have been specifically designed to provide maximum forward bite combined with exceptional corner speed and durability. The Positron is directional, which adds another tuning option for the racers always looking for that extra edge since it will perform differently depending on which direction it is run. The tyre comes including blue closed cell inserts and in super soft M4 or MC clay compounds.

TLR 5ive-T/B electric conversion kit

Horizon Hobby have introduced the TLR 5ive-T and 5ive-B electric conversion kit. The conversion makes it possible to change the 1/5-scale gas powered TLR 5ive-B buggy or Losi 5ive-T truck into an electric-powered rig. No special tools are required to complete the conversion, the kit parts mount into the existing holes already in the frame and chassis. A carbon-fibre radio tray included can be configured to run single, dual or HS-1000/1005 servos and also included is a mount for an optional mechanical brake servo. The new dual sided servo saver arm provided delivers the precision of a push/pull steering setup and it is made from aluminium for the long lasting durability this monster demands. New adjustable battery trays are made from machined carbon-fibre plate and can accommodate batteries up to 163mm in length so owners can take advantage of multiple battery configurations, including some of the higher capacity XL LiPo packs. Also included is a new motor mount designed to fit most 58mm motors. The motor mount uses the original front engine mounting location with new motor mount slugs designed for use with the electric conversion. ESC mount is elevated to create space on the chassis and get more natural airflow from the body.
