Contact A30 carpet spec touring car rubber tyre

Coming from Schumacher is the Contact Tyres A30 carpet spec touring car rubber tyre. It is a pre-glued tyre build designed for indoor carpet racing and it has been developed and tested by Schumacher Racing’s staff and team drivers to provide excellent traction and wear rates for the vigour’s of carpet racing. The A30 is built on a Schumacher Revlite 24mm wheel and lightweight black foam insert usually found in other popular carpet spec tyres and it comes in packs of four.

Mugen MTC-1 specific turnbuckle wrench

Mugen have introduced a purpose-designed turnbuckle wrench for the MTC-1 electric touring car. The tool is machined from aluminium and it comes with a hard-coated surface for wear and it features a 4mm wrench for the steering and rear camber turnbuckles on one side and a pin for the captured front upper camber turnbuckles on the other side. The wrench will hit stores at end of April.

Speedmerchant World GT5-R 1/10th pan car kit

Coming soon from Speedmerchant is their new World GT5-R 200mm rubber tyre World GT pan car kit. Based off of the GT4-R and borrowing heavily from the RoadKill 10 Carpet, the vehicle makes use of Speedmerchant’s proven front end design while the chassis is of a new “bottle” shape that gets narrower in the battery area while angled side links replace the previously straight-mounted items. The result is an easier to drive car that has more steering and corner speed while reaching edginess and traction roll.

Brilliant RC have introduced new black and natural finish titanium screws. All fasteners are made of high-grade titanium for a low weight and exceptional durability with the black-finish screws making for an extraordinary look. The hardware is available in packs of eight pieces and as 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm or 12mm button head as well as 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm countersunk screws. Speed King Tour Rd2 – Report

The second round of the 2018 Speed King Tour was hosted by the TM Circuit Wakayama in the Japanese Wakayama prefecture last weekend. The event was held in Touring Modified and Stock classes with the Oval category not being run this time due to the track layout. In the Modified class Super Pole session, track owner Kazushige Tomita took the TQ with his Tamiya in front of Infinity’s Akio Sobue and young Yokomo driver Satoshi Bando.

Davide Gianuzzi wins at Tropheo Easy Cup

The first round of the Tropheo Easy Cup series was held at the Valletta Mini-Racetrack in Italy last weekend in several 1/10th electric on-road classes. The track is of a challenging design with lots of elevation changes and in the Touring 13.5T F1 class it was Ruggero Zanusso with the TQ, however with wins in A1 and A3 it was Awesomatix’s Davide Gianuzzi with the overall victory from A2 winner, Nicola Di Palma (Awesomatix). Yokomo driver Gianni Franzetti rounded out the top 3 podium result.

Andy Murray takes BRCA GT12 National Championship

Round 3 and 4 of the GT12 BRCA National Championship was held last weekend hosted by the Chippenham Model Car Club in Wilshire. With this year’s format being two rounds of the series per weekend, one on Saturday and one on Sunday there was a lot to play for and it was championship leader, Andy Murray that would take pole position followed by new 1/12th European Champion Ollie Payne. The A-final went down to the wire with a close run battle between Andy and Ollie. A small mistake from Andy allowed Ollie to take the round 3 win, from Andy and his teammate Ben Vincent completing the podium.

Protoform Nitro Grand Prix – Report

The highly-anticipated first race at the brand-new Steel City RC Speedway went down this weekend, and it did not disappoint. The inaugural PROTOform Nitro Grand Prix attracted nearly 150 entries in six classes from all-across the United States, including factory drivers JJ Wang, Joaquin De Soto Jr. and Mike Swauger. Built on the grounds of Auto Club Speedway, home of NASCAR, Indycar, drag racing, autocross and karting tracks, the racing atmosphere at the new facility is second-to-none. The Goodwine family has created a world-class track that provided close racing all weekend long under the California sunshine.
