Capricorn C803 front differential

Capricorn have introduced a front differential set for their C803 1/8th scale car. Intended for the use in low-grip conditions, using a front differential gives a different on-track feeling and allows for 4-wheel braking while also making the car easier to drive. When used with a 30T front pulley the suggested diameter delta between rear and front wheels is 6mm instead of the usual 7mm, whereas when using a 29T pulley the delta should be brought down to 4.5mm.

Magnus Vässmar wins at MSEC opener

The opening round of the 2017/18 Middle Swedish Indoor Cup was held in Orebro, Sweden this past weekend. The track was technical and provided medium high traction throughout the race day. In the Touring Modified class Magnus Vässmar took a convincing TQ by securing all rounds of qualifying with his Muchmore-powered Schumacher car. Daniel Carlsson and his Hobbywing-propelled Team Associated would line up second on the A-Main grid followed by Rasmus Karlsson (Schumacher/Muchmore). The finals got underway and Magnus took A1 with a tone-to-tone victory and with a 1-lap margin. Daniel took the runner-up spot in front of Andreas Johansson. In A2 Magnus had a DNF due to a clash with a backmarker which would leave the overall result open for A3 to decide as Daniel won A2 in front of Rasmus. In A3 Magnus took the overall win courtesy of a tone-to-tone win in front of Daniel and Rasmus and this would also be the overall top 3 result.

Thanks to Magnus Vässmar for the report.
