Kyosho soon have a new bodyshell variant of the Plazma LM 1/12th scale chassis kit available. Joining the Toyota TS020, the Porsche 962 and the Mazda 787B is the 1990’s Nissan R90CP No. 23. Based on the Plazma Ra competition pan car the Plazma LM series of cars build on a long wheelbase chassis with conventional T-bar rear suspension, a single central shock and dual side dampers. The highly adjustable front suspension is directly taken over from the LM’s competition sibling as are many parts of the rear suspension including the adjustable ball differential. The car is useable with a wide range of battery configurations including 1S to 2S LiPo batteries and four to six cell NiMH battery packs and comes almost ready-to-run including a brushed G20 standard motor, pre-mounted high grip foam tires and the highly detailed Nissan R90CP body shell.

HPI Racing’s Subaru WRX STI Global RallyCross bodyshell is now also available in a clear version, allowing to create own paint schemes. The body ships with a large flexible vinyl decal sheet for detailing, including window lines, headlights, grilles, tail lights, HPI logos and several other details. A convenient overspray film is included, as well as vinyl window masks to make painting quick and easy. To make mounting the body simple, an instruction sheet is included and the body, that is made for a 150mm wheelbase chassis, has dimple marks for drill locations.

The Tamiya TT-02 Type-S chassis builds upon the shaft-driven efficiency of the original TT-02 4WD platform and provides it with new suspension parts plus other race-proven features. The enhanced version of the TT-02 targets hobbyists looking to make the step up from beginner-level chassis to more advanced set-ups. Coming from Active Hobby Products and made for Tamiya’s WR-02 2WD wheeler chassis is an aluminium motor guard set. Included is a machined motor guard with numerous slots for cooling and weight reduction as well as all needed mounting hardware. The assembly protects the somewhat exposed motor of the WR-02 chassis during on-road and off-road abuse while adding a bit of visual impact at the same time. The set is available in four colours including blue, black, red and silver.

Team Associated’s latest incarnation of their Apex entry-level touring car is the Scion Racing iC RTR kit. Built on an all-wheel-drive chassis, the Scion Racing tC Rocket Bunny replica comes fully assembled and Ready-to-Run with factory installed Reedy brushless motor and a Reedy WolfPack 6-cell battery wired with a high current T-plug. Additional features include the XP water-resistant speed control and XP 2.4GHz radio system. The front and rear sealed metal gear differentials are connected together with a tough aluminium drive shaft and imperfections in the road are managed by four adjustable fluid-filled coil-over tuned shocks. High grip treaded racing tyres are mounted on scale replica 5-Spoke hex drive wheels featuring detailed brake rotors and callipers. Topping it all off is the factory finished Scion Racing tC Rocket Bunny body that replicates the details of Fredric Aasbo’s Hankook Racing Scion tC.

Xpert RC’s new WR series of waterproof servos is designed to work with everything from a 1/10th scale crawler to a 1/5th scale monster and they have been designed to function completely submerged in water. Available are three servos, the standard voltage WR-4401-LV (0.077s/280oz-in) and two high voltage compatible offerings, the WR6601-HV (0.118s/360oz-in) and the WR-7701-HV (0.126s/485oz-in). All offer IP67 rated protection, specially hardened metal gears, advanced firmware for no buzzing sound and high ampere and high temperature protection features.

Team Associated’s Apex Scion Racing FR-S RTR kit is now also available in a drift version with hard plastic drift-style tyres. Otherwise the Drift spec kit sports the same features as the standard RTR package such as a factory assembled 4WD chassis, a Reedy 3300kv brushles motor and water-resistant XP SC500-BL brushless speed controller.
