Following the release of their first ever line of car-related brushless motors Scorpion now also have an optional motor for Kyosho Mini-Z VE vehicles available. Made to fit both the Mini-Z on-road and buggy chassis, the motor is made using aero grade aluminium and ultra high quality 0.2mm stator steel with high temperature resistant magnets and enamel wires, to work with high efficiency and to produce higher peak power and higher torque in combination with a lower running temperature. Weighting in at 20.5 grams the motor is ultra light weight to increase top speed and acceleration while improving the car’s handling at the same time.

Following the 1969 Corvette Stingray Horizon Hobby now also introduce the 2014 variant of the ‘Vette’. Kyosho America introduce a blue limited edition 50th Anniversary chassis kit of the brushless-powered MR-03VE. Based around blue-colour chassis parts the car features full ball bearings, a rear ball differential, gold-plated battery terminals and a Team Orion XSpeed Eco brushless motor. Included are also modification parts for a MM-type motor mount and a front wide tread conversion. Not included are wheels, tyres, a body and a 2.4GHz ASF-compatible transmitter.

HPI introduce the D-Box 2 adjustable stability system for virtually every radio controlled car. Although aimed for the use in drift cars, the gyro can also be used in nitro and electric on-road and off-road vehicles as it improves vehicle control on slippery surfaces. Based on the experience gained with the original D-Box, the follow-up device offers four different settings to adjust the gyro sensitivity for perfect vehicle control without loosing steering response or gyro support. The device is simply connected between the steering servo and receiver, measures around 26.5x27x10mm and weights in at 9.5g. Before using the D-Box at a race meeting please check with the rules as tracks do not allow the use of gyros for fairness reasons.

Vaterra steps into the rallycross game with the recreation of the 1/10th scale Rockstar Ford Fiesta. Based on a 4WD nylon composite tub chassis with metal gear VTV (Viscous Torque Vectoring) differentials the car comes factory assembled with a 4-pole 3300kv Dynamite brushless motor, waterproof 70A 3S-compatible speed controller and a Spektrum SRS4200kv receiver with AVC (Active Vehicle Control) technology for improved driving stability even in rough terrain. Other features include a tough front foam bumper, large volume oil-filled shock absorbers, and rally tread tyres. All that is topped off by a pre-decorated Ford Fiesta bodyshell. Also included in the package is a Spektrum DX2E transmitter with batteries.
