Based on the competition-ready BD7 touring car chassis, but featuring injection molded composite versions of the original machined components, the BD7 RS version from Yokomo is perfectly advanced for entry-level to intermediate racers seeking a less costly alternative, yet having the same world-level racing pedigree and performance of the flagship model. Compatible with both spare and option parts already available for the BD7, this is a great chassis to use as a base for those seeking to step up incrementally. The drivetrain utilizes a molded spool joint in the front, with a gear differential in the rear. Chassis, upper deck and shock tower are the same carbon graphite as the BD7.

Tamiya TRF101 F1 chassis

Tamiya have released details on their upcoming Formula 1 release the TRF101. This pure competition chassis feature carbon throughout including for the front upper arms which are made from 2.5mm thick carbon fibre. The car will utilize a vertically mounted steering servo while the side links of this pan car can be mounted in 3 different positions for multiple setup options. Available in late June.

Following a teaser last week, Schumacher have released the full details on their all new Mi5 EP touring car. The car is equipped with some revolutionary design features that enable the racer total flexibility for both carpet and asphalt tracks. Featuring an ultra low centre of gravity which gives the car fantastic corner speed capability combined with the radical vertical top deck, the Mi5 achieves both a responsive and nimble feel, yet is forgiving and consistent to drive. The major highlights of the package include, the first Schumacher designed touring car gear differential, fully in-line mounted motor and servo, lightweight low CofG carbon fibre wishbones, perfect Ackerman steering rack and micro castor pivot system. The chassis offers excellent balance and poise, with an extremely wide window of set up, enabling drivers of all levels to easily achieve the best results from the car.

Tresrey SP-1 F1 Pro chassis

Similar to the SP-1 F1 Pro chassis from Speed Passion, this version comes from Tresrey and features their signature red anodising throughout. The chassis utilizes a high quality 3mm streamlined carbon fiber lower chassis, a 2mm upper deck, and lightweight 7075 aircraft grade aluminium. Chassis stiffness can also be fine tuned using 6 chassis posts depending on track conditions. The SP-1 F1 chassis also allows different LiPo battery positions and configurations and can fit regular size 2 cells LiPo batteries or shorty 2 cell LiPo packs. T.O.P. Rebel R-F01 6-Wheeler conversion kit

T.O.P. Racing now offers a new 6 wheeler conversion kit for the Rebel R-F01 Formula One car. It is a new class, legal for some race regulations. All you need is to get are 2 pairs of 12th scale front tires and a Tamiya body shell.  It’s fun and drives like a touring car and both sets of front suspension are independently adjustable including springs, caster angle, upper dive angle, toe angle, camber angle, camber link geometry and even Ackerman.  This kit is pre-released to factory team drivers while the production version shown in the pictures will be released in the near future.

Yokomo F1 chassis coming soon

Yokomo have released early photos of their new F1 chassis. Up front the car will features double wishbone type suspension with front stabilizer effect, adjustable front camber angle, caster angle, ride height and other adjustments. In the rear it uses link suspension and a ball differential. The chassis is made from 3mm carbon fibre and there will be an optional narrow front suspension.

Serpent have introduced the 411 ERYX 2.0, the next big development stage for the 411 platform. Featuring an ultra low centre of gravity, it’s lighter with optimized weight distribution and sports a high performance geometry and top quality materials throughout. The new version was used at the recent DHI Cup with Marc Fischer qualifying 2nd and taking 3rd in the final with three 411-ERYX cars in the A-main.
