Losi 2.2 Boss Claws tires

Team Losi have introduced their new 2.2 Boss Claws tires, which utilizes one of the most versatile tread patterns in 1/8-scale off-road racing, the Eclipse. This tread provides smooth and consistent traction on all crawling surface types, while the sidewalls feature Losi Comp Claws for superior construction and ‘side hilling’ abilities. The Boss Claws were prototyped by the Losi Crawling team for the World’s competition then perfected by the engineers at Losi to provide the best possible traction on the most diversified ranged of surface types. Molded using the high traction Losi Red compound for impressive traction and long life, they come supplied with oversized memory foam inserts that provide extra support to assist the tire conforming to the surface.

Tamiya 801Xe prototype hits the track

Tamiya 801Xe prototype makes race debut

Tamiya have made their race debut with the new prototype electric powered 801X, called the 801Xe. Being driven at the Canadian Indoor Shootout in its maiden race by team drivers Steve Bortolotti and Tom Wright, it performed well amongst fierce competition, leading the way for most of qualifying before electrical problems hampered their progress. In the mains it was again a solid performance, with only some bad luck and race incidents keeping the car out of winners circle. According to those driving the prototype buggy, the design of the car and layout give incredible on-power traction as you exit the corners and is very stable as you accelerate. More information as we get it.
