Shepherd Euro 2008 Conversion Set

Seen in our coverage from last weeks European 1/8th scale Championships in Valencia, Shepherd have now officially released their Euro 2008 Conversion Set. Containing new parts for rear end of the Velox, the distance between the lower hinge pins is smaller to increase the effective length of the lower wishbones. With this modification the Velox becomes more stable on the rear end and therefore is easier to drive. To have the same angle for the shock absorbers two carbon fibre plates are included that can be fixed at the lower wishbones.

The new clutchbell has reduce rotating weight without sacrificing strength or durability, with significant weight savings over the standard clutchbell: original clutch bell (6.25g), optional lightweight clutchbell (2.75g). Precision machined to the highest tolerances using premium fully-automatic German CNC machines, they feature a high-quality hardcoating, ensuring a perfect hard coated surface every time.

Reckward Tuning were in touch to give us a first look at their new wheel balancer, suitable for both 1:10th touring and seperately 1:5 scale. Designed to easily identify any imbalance in the wheel, the balancer comes un assembled and is supplied with clay to set in the wheel to correct the imbalance. Also available for checking 1/5th scale wheels, this version has been developed in close collaboration with top German driver Markus Feldmann.

Team Magic have released some new option parts for their E4 Electric Touring car, beginning with this new front shock tower. Made from carbon fibre, and machined to lighten the part further, the new stiffer tower has four different shock mounting holes to adapt the shock angle to your driving style and track conditions to get the best performance out of your car. Also new is this front bulkhead upper mount, that has been machined from 7075 aluminium, to increase strength in this area as well as increase chassis stiffness.
