Xpress XM1 series alloy C-hubs

Xpress have introduced a set of 4 degree aluminium C-hubs for their XM1 and XM1S M-class touring car kits. The parts are machined from high-quality aluminium, they feature a 2-tone black and red finish and they greatly reduce suspension flex for improved cornering speed and stability in high grip or high temperature conditions.

Arrowmax introduce “Petite” sized LiPo batteries

Arrowmax have announced the release of their new 110x47x22.5mm Petite LiPo battery packs. Ranging between the standard and shorty LiPo packs in terms of size, the new mid-sized batteries weight in at 211g while offering improved power compared to a standard shorty battery pack. At 22.5mm height, the low profile packs ensure a low centre of gravity, making them ideal for front-wheel driven touring cars. Arrowmax’s Petite packs are made of high-quality 120C/60C cells and they are available as 5300mAh 7.6V LiHV and 4800mAh 7.4V variants.

Xray RX8E 1/8th electric on-road kit

Xray have unveiled their new RX8E 1/8th scale electric on-road kit. The vehicle is based on the successful RX8 nitro platform with the latest incarnation featuring a new chassis with a narrower rear suspension configuration. The rear bulkheads are mounted 8.4mm closer together and the rear arm mounts move the inner pivot pins 2.5mm closer together, which combined with the bulkhead placement generates more rear traction and improves the stability of the car. The chassis also features a unique, innovative front flex adjustment using a removable aluminium brace.

Motiv Launch 540 drag racing motor

Launch, a division of Motiv RC dedicated to competition drag racing, now brings the Launch 540 2.5T and 3.5T drag racing motors. The Launch 540 features a 3-phase beefy stator with thin insulators and low resistance winding, this results in proper power delivery through the stator. The 2-pole rotor is composed of the highest strength neodymium material available for great torque. The 13.0mm rotor is then drill balanced which ensures continued power delivery under high RPM down the drag strip. The red anodized can assembly is lightweight with adjustable timing from 0 to 60 degrees and provides plenty of air flow. The motor is designed, built and tuned in house for short speed runs and drag racing passes only.

Awesomatix A800FX 1/10 front-wheel drive touring car

Following a couple of teaser images Awesomatix have finally unveiled their A800FX 1/10th scale front-wheel drive touring car kit. The somewhat revolutionary car is designed to offer optimised weight distribution combined with the lowest centre of gravity. The goal was to create a FWD car with easy changeable front/rear balance, which is one of the main setup adjustments for this class of cars. Inside the front bumper the designers integrated a 65g heavy steel insert which offers the possibility to add another 50g by placing five 10g round weights into the milled areas of bumper. Furthermore, the lower deck has plenty of additional holes for the mounting of Awesomatix’s standard 10g and 5g round weights.

Matrix introduce new Precision rims

Matrix have added a new wheel to their range of pre-mounted 1/8th on-road foam tyres in the form of the Precision rim. Adding to the already available Carbon and Light variants, the Precision rim is made of aerospace plastic material that is both very light of weight yet extremely strong, providing improved ease of driving, precision and consistency when running on tracks that have already taken a lot of rubber or when the use of additive is allowed. The rim is lighter than the already available Light rim and easily recognisable by its slightly yellowish colour.

Mugen MTC1 aluminium lower arm inserts

Mugen have introduced new aluminium lower arm inserts for the MTC1 touring car. A replacement for the standard A2108B part, that is made of plastic and thus less durable, the alloy inserts will also ensure greater precision and a more secure fit. The inserts come in pairs and they are available soon.

Yeah Racing Hacktronic G2 brushless ESC

Yeah Racing have announced the release of their new Hacktronic G2 competition brushless speed controller. The second generation of the popular controller offers updated firmware features to bring it up to current requirements with a blinky mode as well as widely adjustable boost and turbo settings allowing to access both zero boost, boost and modified racing. Thinks are kept cool thanks to the machined aluminium case and the included 30mm fan will ensure the ESC stays cool even in heavy duty racing applications. Included with the controller comes a small-size fast cycle capacitor as well as a short all-black receiver wire. A programming box, that allows to read out the speedo’s telemetry settings, is available optionally.
