Xray T4 2018 electric touring car kit

Xray have introduced the 2018 version of their highly popular T4 1/10th scale 4WD electric touring car. Like in recent years Xray have carried out some subtle updates and revisions to the platform with the most noticeable change to the 2018 variant being the all-new Ultra Low Profile ULP shock – probably the shortest coil-over dampers to find on a 1/10th touring car. 4mm shorter than the SLP the ULP were developed to lower the CG of the car even more to further improve handling. With the ultra short shocks the T4 is meant to stay flatter, making it easier to drive through chicanes in high-grip conditions and making the car more resistant to traction rolling, letting the driver carry more speed through high-traction sweepers while the steering response and cornering speed are significantly improved as well.

Schumacher Eclipse LMP12 carbon fibre link mount

Coming from Schumacher and made for the Eclipse LMP12 pan car is the carbon fibre link mount. The mount gives the option to play with LiPo position. Mounted from the chassis holes in a forward position gives an adjustment of up to 7.5mm. When rear traction is high, moving the LiPo forward can give smoother handling and help to prevent traction roll leading to a car that can be driven harder and faster.

Bittydesign touring car body front foam kit

Bittydesign from Italy have introduced the new touring car body front foam kit. Designed to bridge the gap between the body and the chassis’s foam front bumper the small foam parts will make for improved body mounting and thus less vibrations, improved high-speed steering and also longer body life as the lid deforms less in the event of a crash. The set includes four 2mm and 4mm thick foams for the centre and also eight smaller 2mm and 4mm foams for the sides and it is usable with pretty much every 1/10th touring car body on the market.

3DRC Anti-Tuck body stiffeners

Available now from 3DRC are anti-tuck body stiffeners for on-road body shells. 3-D-printed from tough yet flexible and lightweight material the braces are of a simple design and they are installed in the rear part of the body to prevent unwanted, time-robbing and race-destroying body tucks – a phenomenon that sees the rear part of the body/rear fender getting deformed in an impact and caught by the rear wheels, which will ultimately make the car unmaneuverable. The set includes two anti-tuck braces, installing requires four M3x5mm button head screws and the parts are usable on 1/10th 190mm and 200mm bodies alike.

RC Prostyle MTC1 carbon battery mount & fan mounts

RC Prostyle have introduced first option parts for Mugen’s brand new MTC1 1/10th electric touring car in the form of carbon fibre battery mounts and fan mounts made from the same material. Starting with the battery retainers, the set includes front and rear battery brackets machined from carbon fibre to replace the standard moulded composite parts while also utilising a tape-less mounting system using carbon fibre plates. The set is a direct replacement for the standard parts and it not only speed up battery swaps but also does away with tweak issues associated with using fibre reinforced tape to strap the battery down. Also new and made as a direct fit for the MTC1 are carbon fibre motor fan mounts. Available for 30mm and 40mm fans the braces attach directly to the layshaft mount, making for a floating and thus tweak-free design.
