Neumann takes German 4WD Buggy & Racing Truck title

The 4WD and Stadium Truck portion of this year’s German 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals was held this past weekend at the MSV Hürtgenwald club. After winning the 2WD Modified event some two weeks ago, Jörn Neumann was again the driver to beat and he would TQ and win the 4WD Modified class in style while taking the Racing Truck title also. On the 4WD podium Jörn was sidelined by Luca Rau and Michael Lepuschuitz while Björn Prümper and Marcel Schneider rounded out the top 5 results.

Malin Karlsen sweeps Grenland Champs Rd5

Round five of the Grenland 2WD Championship was held in Skien, Norway. Despite arriving late for qualifying due to a last minute decision to participate in the race, Malin Karlsen took the pole position for the triple A-mains and she would continue to dominate as she won the opening two A-main finals and also put in the only 14-laps run of the day. In the third and final A-main Malin had to stop with a dumped battery on lap 9 while holding a 15 seconds lead but with wins in A1 and A2 she had already grabbed the overall win. Team Associated driver Mathias Fink would come in second that day while Petter Strand (Team Associated) rounded out the top 3.

Schmidt & Vogt take wins at Alpencup Rd5

Round 5 of the Alpencup was held at the RC Club Wyland in Switzerland on a pretty technical astroturf track. In the 2WD class Nico Schmid took the overall TQ after the four rounds of qualifying and he would be able to conserve his qualifying performance by taking wins in A2 and A3 to walk away with the overall victory from Philip Jeisy and Gregi Gassmann in second and third respectively.

JConcepts Outdoor Turf Nationals – Announcement

JConcepts, in conjunction with R/C Madness in Enfield, Connecticut, present the 2nd Annual Outdoor Turf Nationals from on the 10th and 11th of September. The dedicated AstroTurf surface created by Chris Marcy combines a large outdoor venue with the grippy green surface used at international events around the world including the 2015 IFMAR World Championships. A multitude of classes are offered for all skill levels and accomplishment. JConcepts control tires will be utilized in the 2WD and 4WD Buggy classes while stadium truck and SCT will allow open tires. Sign-up for the event is available here.

Kristof Dehert wins at Belgian Zolder Race

The recent Zolder Race in Belgium saw Kristof Dehert walking away with the win in the four 6-minute 2WD A-main events. Starting from the 2 spot, Kristof was able to secure one win and two second places to finish the day on the top spot from Nik Weyers and Tom Buekers in second and third respectively. In the 4WD class, Eric Michiels took the win from Gunther Lambrechts and Patrick Lievens.

Grainer & Toth win at Slovakian Nationals Rd4

Round four of the Slovakian 1/10th Electric Off-road National Championship was held at the XXXL-Bratislava Raceway in Bratislava. Like in the previous round the weather was very hot, making for dusty and slippery track conditions. In 2WD Lucas Grainer could take the TQ with Philipp Stocker and Thomas Rössler in tow. The very low-grip track conditions made things interesting in the finals but Lucas would excel and he took the win from Phillip and Thomas.
