Last weekend’s Fall Brawl in Myrtle Beach, SC saw Ryan Lutz taking the TQ in the 1/8th Nitro and Electric Buggy classes. He went on to win Nitro Truggy by over a lap, 1/8th Electric Buggy, and Pro4 SCT. A flame out in Nitro Buggy was the only thing stopping Ryan from a win in 1/8th Nitro Buggy.

Neo Buggy and DXR announce NeoX, the 10th instalment of the unofficial 1/8th Buggy Indoor Worlds. The anniversary event of the Neo Race sees the race once again run on its classic Easter weekend date of the 3rd to 6th of April 2015. The Agricultural University Harper Adams in Shropshire continues as the venue for the event, once again a 4 days affair – running Friday to Monday. The event’s capacity has been slightly increased in size with the blossoming 1/8 Electric Buggy class making a return – now limited to 60 drivers, the main Nitro Buggy class is limited to 240 entries. After the success of the special one-off races in the past they return with a few additions; Juniors Final, Oldies Final, the Dash4Cash for the top qualifiers, Last Chance Qualifier – more details revealed soon. The Fall Brawl race took place at Myrtle Beach, SC with around 250 drivers in attendance. In the highly competitive Nitro Pro Buggy class Cole Odgen battled for the win with the likes of Lutz, Adam, Pettit and Mcginty and at the end Cole was able to come out successful from Lutz and Drake.

The intensity continues to rise in Omaha, Nebraska as the JConcepts INS entered the final round of qualifying. In the Modified 4WD class, Kyosho’s Jared Tebo and TLR/JConcepts’ Ryan Maifield are both tied with one win each. Both of these experienced drivers know that having track position is going to benefit greatly for the triple A-mains and undoubtedly give them a better chance at winning.

With qualifying underway at the JConcepts Indoor Nationals Finale race, it would be Kyosho/Orion’s Jared Tebo striking first by taking TQ in round 1 of qualifying in the 4WD Modified class with 14 laps 5:05.4 After 5 minutes of qualifying, Tebo edged out Team Associated’s young gun Spencer Rivkin by 0.7 seconds and TLR’s Ryan Maifield by 1 second. With the field closely packed together, the 4WD Modified class will be an intense race from start to finish in every round.

The 2014 JConcepts Indoor National Series Finale’s open practice has just wrapped up at the massive Hobbyplex Raceway. This fantastic 5 race series travels the nation in search of the most competitive racing the United States has to offer and has made the final stop in Omaha, Nebraska. With the expected turnout to be just under 300 entries, this year’s finale race is also going to decide who is the king of the INS in 2014.

Held at the Knox track in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, the 2014 Victorian State Titles was the final major race of the year in Australia and it saw over 160 entrants treated to a fast, flowing and fun natural dirt track in high temperature summer conditions. Control tyres for the event were JConcepts 3Ds in blue compound for the rear, and JConcepts Bar Codes in blue compound for the front of the 4WD vehicles. 6 national classes were on offer, with 2WD and 4WD buggy in both Modified and 17.5T, 2wD SCT and Stadium Truck. Victoria also runs 21.5T 2WD and 4WD buggy classes which this year saw many junior drivers racing against the adults.

Following his departure from 1/10th electric sponsor Yokomo Spanish ace Robert Batlle teamed up with Team C to race the company’s 1/10th electric off-road and on-road vehicles. We do not have any details on the deal but we understand that Robert will race 1/10th scale both in the national championships and also at selected international events.
