The MCSS was recently held in Leonberg and in the Touring Modified class it was Dionys Stadler who came out fastest after the A-mains. Behind him Dominik Fleischmann and Marco Kaufmann completed the top 3 result. Elsewhere in the Stock class Valentin Hettrich brought home the win while Noah Asendorf had to settle for second. At the end and after some great fights he was able to bring home the runner-up spot from Alexandre Kunkler.
IGT8 have announced the signing of high-profile racer Paolo Morganti for the 2017 season. Paolo will be attending most big events throughout North, Central and South America while also assisting with product development. IGT8 and Paolo begin this new relationship just in time for probably the largest GT event of the year, “The Pan American”, which is being held later this week at Homestead RC Raceway. Paolo has the following to say:

Mugen Seiki have announced the signing of Japanese National Champion, Syoki Takahata to their factory nitro on-road team. The former KM Racing driver will campaign Mugen’s MRX6 and MTX6R kits in the upcoming season that will see appearances at the national championship and also at the IFMAR 1/8th On-road Worlds in France.

Shepherd have announced the signing of 2-times Spanish National Champion, Eduardo Escandon to their factory team. The Euro-A Vice-Champion and ENS A-main finalist will use the latest version of Shepherd’s Velox V10 in the upcoming season. Edu plans to attend all ENS events as well as the EC-A in Mulhouse/, France and he had the following to say:

I’m delighted to have the opportunity to work with such a great team like Shepherd and I’m sure that it will be a big step forward for me at International races. I tested the car for the first time at my home Club setting a new track record, that´s amazing! Last weekend the second round of the Tonisport Onroad Series West took place at the Racing Arena Limburg. 60 entries made for a nice weekend of racing and already during practice Marcel Ellissen showed a strong performance topping the time sheets in the strong Formula class in front of regular ETS A-main finalists Jacques Libar and Jitse Miedema. In the opening qualifier Ellissen was the only driver to score 23 laps to take the round TQ and he was also the only driver of the weekend with a sub-13 seconds lap in his class. With another win in round 4 he was able to secure himself the pole-position for the A-main. In the first A-final Ellisson took an easy win in front of Jacque Libar and Torsten Dreiszus. Also in the second A-main he managed to open a gap over his rivals crossing the finishing line some 5 seconds in front of Jitse Miedema and Jacque Libar to take the overall victory. As Libar took the win in the 3rd A-main he secured himself the runner-up spot with Miedema completing the podium.

Max Power have announced the addition of Italian frontrunner, Dario Balestri to their team. The multiple national and European champion recently joined the ever growing Infinity team and following several years with Capricorn and after using Max Power-built Tesla engines last year, he will now be running Max Power branded power plants in his 1/8th and 1/10th scale rides for 2017.

Energy Fuel have announced the signing of Simon Kurzbuch to their team. Reigning World Champion, double ENS and Swiss National Champion, Simon will be a great addition to an already strong team as he will join the likes of Pirani, Ielasi and Zanchettin to run the complete range of Energy products. Simon’s 2017 race program will include the ENS events, the EFRA GP Series, the Worlds in France and of course the Swiss Championship as well as other select international races.

Singapore’s Urban Touring Series kicked off its 2017 season this past weekend, with most of the island’s top racers participating. The event was also a concurrent national series points scoring round and in the ISTC class, Nicholas Lee stamped his authority early on by securing the TQ despite the valiant attempts of his closest competitors. PY Tang secured P2 for the finals with a great run in Q4, with Dominic Quek having to be content with a P3 start.
