Arie Manten wins at Dutch IC Track Nats Rd1

The Dutch NK 1/8th On-road Nationals kicked off at the fast and scrubby circuit in Rucphen at the MAC Banbrekers club. It was unclear whether some of the usual suspects would show up or not. John Ermen and team-bud Robbin Hertong went off to France which increased the chances of various drivers on an early season victory. John Ermen wins at Belgium IC Track Nationals Rd1

The opening round of the Belgium Nitro On-road Nationals was held at the MAC De Baanbrekers club in Rucphen, The Netherlands. In the 1/8th class it was John Ermen who took the TQ after the qualifiers with Gunter van Staey and Robin D’hondt coming in second and third. For the 30-minute main final John Ermen (ARC) was able to conserve his qualifying performance, taking a dominant win some three laps in front of Capricorn driver Robin D’hondt while Augustin Mejor (Serpent) completed the top 3 result another two laps down. Baggen & Sanza win at BeNeLux Nitro Challenge Rd2

The second round of the BeNeLux Nitro Challenge, a 3-race series for 1/8th and 1/10th nitro on-road cars, was held last weekend at the track of Model Race Genk. Overall a total of 41 drivers competed the 1-day race in very nice weather conditions and a friendly atmosphere. In the 1/8th class it was Tobias Hepp (Mugen) who took the pole position, ahead of first round winner John Ermen (ARC). The 45 minute finale was exciting to watch from start to finish. John Ermen wins Dutch on-road nationals Rd3

…lap qualification. The fastest was Robing d’Hondt followed by Gunther v. Steay, Sefan Cuypers and John Ermen. After two exciting semi finals it was Robin d’Hondt taking the pole position in the main final with John Ermen right behind him. All drivers had a clear start and raced a beautiful final. Vrielijnck makes it 2 from 2 in Dutch 1/8th Nationals

…Further on in the qualification ranking they were folowed by Steven Cuypers, John Ermen, Gunther v. Steay and Danny Leewis. After 2 very fast and thrilling semi finals the main final had RickV on pole. At the start of the main final RickV had a good start and was pulling away followed by John Ermen, Gunther v. John Ermen wins Rd3 of Dutch Nationals

Last weekend the 3rd round of the Dutch 1/8 onroad nationals was held on the fast Baanbrekers track in Rucphen. Although the weather forecast predicted rain we had a beautiful day with only a few meaningless drops during the finals. After 3 very fast qualifying rounds it was Robin d’Hondt taking the pole followed by Rick Vrielijnck, Steven Cuypers and John Ermen. Rick V takes Rd2 in Dutch Nationals

…driven. The Sunday started dry but just before the start of the 1st heat it started to rain and did not stop until the main finals. In the NK class after a wet qualifying, where it was difficult to get the right tire, it was RickV taking the pole followed by John Ermen, Arie Manten and Michiel Renting. Cuypers heads all Belgian podium at Dutch Nats Rd4

Last weekend was the 4th round of the Dutch 1/8 onroad nationals, this time on the 2011 1/10 EC-B track, the Baanbrekers in Rucphen. With good weather, a lot of rubber on the track from the EC-B and 45 drivers on the fastest track in Holland it promised to be a very good race and it didn’t disappoint.
