Yaniv Sivan takes 6th Isreali title with Rd10 win

The 10th and final round of the Israeli League took place this past weekend at the Ein Vered racing track. With great weather Yaniv Sivan took the TQ spot ahead of fellow Kyosho drivers Omer Assayag and Ofir Avitan. The A final saw a big battle between Yaniv Sivan, Omer Assayag and Italy Eskenazi but after 10 minutes both Omer and Itay retired due to technical issues. Meanwhile Ofir Avitan who had a bad start took the second position with Gil Harush and Tal Siles in 4th after a flame out. After 40 minutes of thrilling battles Yaniv Sivan won with Ofir Avitan 2nd and third going to Tal Siles which managed to pass Gil in the final minutes. This would seal the title for Sivan, his 6th in total, with Ofir Avitan ending the series as runner up, while Tal Siles finished 3rd.

2016 Victorian State Titles report

Last weekend saw over 190 entries converge at the Keilor Club in Melbourne, Australia for the 2016 Victorian Titles sponsored by JConcepts Australia. Racers were treated to an outdoors track with a combination of high speed sections, elevation changes and a huge triple jump, with a natural clay surface that grooved up through the weekend providing great racing. The JConcepts 3D tyre was chosen as the control tyre for all classes. The weather was perfect for practice and 2wd day with sunshine and 26C temps, however mother nature won on Sunday with heavy rains cancelling the 4wd portion of the event. The entry list was stacked with 7 of the 2015 Nats A finalists in attendance and entries from all around Australia, including 2014 National champs Josh Pain and Chris Sturdy, as well as the Queensland young guns Mitchell Steer and Alex Bernadzik.

Robert Pietsch wins Hot Race Nitro Cup

Robert Pietsch wins Hot Race Nitro Cup

The Hot Race Nitro Cup took place last weekend in Gubbio, Italy, the host of this summer’s 200mm World Championships. Using the same handout Hot Race tires as those to be used at the Worlds a lot of drivers used the event to gain knowledge on the track and tires.Qualifying would see former 1/8th World Champion Robert Pietsch take the top spot in qualifying with his Picco powered Mugen, ahead of the Tesla powered Capricorn of Dario Balestri, with super fast French race Leo Arnold with his Orion powered Xray in 3rd. Unfortunately the rain arrived before the finals could be won and so the even was called on the qualifying results. In the two support classes it was Roberto De Cesare that won the 1/8th class, which was run in the wet, while in the 1/10th National class the win went to TQ man Federico Iezzi.

Introducing Red RC China

Introducing Red RC China

Most of you will have noticed a lot of changes on Red RC over the past few weeks as we update our network of websites to utilise a new mobile friendly responsive design. With close to 50% of our visitors now using smart phones or tablets to access the latest RC news, with that percentage even higher in Asia, we created this new design to give visitors an optimised experience on all platforms. Which leads us to some very exciting news, which many of you will already have noticed, is that we have created a new Chinese language site, now available at www.redrc.cn. We believe that China is the next big growth market in RC and so we have established a company in Hong Kong with an editorial team in mainland China. Currently we are translating news from RedRC.net into Chinese but going forward we plan to publish product news and race reports that are specific to this region of the world with our aim to help grow the market in mainland China while also serving localised news to other Chinese speaking regions such as Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The site has been live for a few weeks and after ironing out some kinks we are now happy to officially announce it.

Equipped with a 5 port sleeve and a CNC machined flat piston, the engine provides great power over the entire RPM range while having a very efficient fuel consumption which is crucial in the finals. The 14mm turbo crankshaft is equipped with two high density weights to improve the overall balance and filled with a silicone insert to reduce the inertia and improve the fuel flow. The special back plate, the optimized crankcase and the “knife edged” aerodynamic conrod help to further reduce turbulence inside the engine. A special lightweight cooling head ensures excellent heat dispersion to keep the engine temperature at a good level. High quality Swiss ball bearings, a dust protected front bearing, a modern composite valve carburettor and venturis in 6.5mm, 7.0mm and 8.0mm made of aluminium complete this new high competition engine.
