Italian company Capricorn have announced the soon to be released LAB.21 Europa, a high performance 3.5cc buggy engine. Featuring a lightened over sized cooling head and an optimally balanced crankshaft using weights, this turbo 3 port engine provides plenty of torque, bottom end power as well as good fuel economy.

Capricorn RC have announced the signing of young American star Scotty Gray for 2011. Scotty will use the LAB-C01 with Capricorn LAB-E01 SQ 2011 engine along with Capricorn tires and accessories. Scotty is making his debut this weekend at the world famous Ft. Myers race track’s FORGASS race and is off to a great start having taken the TQ spot. He will stay on in Ft. Myers to compete in next week’s Winternats.

Capricorn have announced that their new diff pins feature their new HLD, ‘hard like diamond’, treatment. Instead of the classic hard coating the new treatment doubles the hardness of the pin and also guarantees less friction. This is the same treatment that is applied to the crankshaft of real racing engine.

Capricorn RC have introduced these new rear driveshafts, suitable for Serpent, Shepherd and Mugen 1/8th scale cars. Aimed at the competition market and made from Kel850 treated aluminium, they are lightweight and durable. Sold as a pair.

Italian company Capricorn have announced the signing of double European Champion and multiple World Championship finalist Dario Balestri to their team. The Italian driver, seen above with his mechanic Stefano Puccinelli, has inked a 2 year deal which will see him run the 1/8th scale Capricorn LAB-C801. The former Motonica driver who recently joined KM Racing for 1/10th scale, will continue to run Novarossi engines.

Capricorn have announced the 2011 version of their .12 touring car engine. The new version comes with a large head and underhead, optional on the WC edition engine, but which has been used by Martin Christensen to take victory at this year’s Euros. The new additions allow for a higher running temperature and the use of a hot glow plug. Capricorn have also released this KEL850 treated Novarossi 2660 Muffler. This new treatment will replace the original hard coated version as it can be used on any kind of aluminium, not only ergal. This new ceramic-titanium treatment gives incredible hardness up to 65 Rockwell and results in higher durability and performance of the muffler as well as optimal resonance. Capricorn have introduced a number of new parts for their LAB-C01 1/10th scale chassis beginning with the new aluminium down stop levers. To be used only with a front wire roll bar, especially when soft plastic is installed, it gives a more consistent and precise setting. Capricorn have also released these new red springs, which are softer than the black spring set and have been built according to Pro driver specs for optimum handling.
