MIP TLR 22 3.0 Pucks 17.5 drive system

MIP TLR 22 3.0 Pucks 17.5 drive system

MIP have introduced the Pucks 17.5 drive system for the TLR 22 3.0 buggy. Designed with stock racing in mind, MIP’s popular Pucks drive system is now also available for TLR’s latest 2WD competition buggy. The multi-piece construction is making it possible to keep the original axles as well as seeing superior wear that comes from a steel yoke. With that change MIP also have upgraded the diff balls to tungsten carbide balls for the ultimate in wear and efficiency. Overall, the race-proven design lightens up the drivetrain’s rotating mass by as much as 50 percent; which means quicker acceleration, less motor fade, and it allows to keep the car’s drivetrain fresh with replaceable Pucks.

MIP B6/B5 Pucks 17.5 drive system

MIP B6/B5 Pucks 17.5 drive system

MIP have introduced the popular Pucks 17.5 drive system for the Team Associated B6 buggy. Shaving off nearly 50 percent of rotating mass compared to the standard diff-and-driveshafts assembly as well as including all necessary diff components, except the diff gear, the kit is the ultimate 17.5 kit for the B6, B6D, and also the older B5M. Included are high-quality tungsten carbide diff balls, lightweight outdrives and multi-piece dogbones, diff rings, bearings and small parts such as MIP’s rebuildable diff locknut.

MIP TLR 22 17.5 Race top shaft

MIP TLR 22 17.5 Race top shaft

MIP have introduced the 17.5 Race top shaft for the TLR 22 line of vehicles. Coming in an all-aluminium design made from 7075-T6 material the shaft scrubs about 25 percent of weight compared to the standard part while also sporting a reduced gear contact patch for less overall drag. The 1-piece design furthermore improves durability with the included 4mm nut topping off the design while also doing away with the original top shaft spacer. The shaft is usage for all 22-series vehicles including the buggy, truck and SCT.

MIP B6/5 Super Diff bi-metal kit

MIP B6/5 Super Diff bi-metal kit

New from MIP comes the Super Diff bi-metal kit for the Team Associated B6 and B5 series of vehicles. Featuring a unique bi-metal outdrive design the kit utilises 7075-T6 aluminium outdrive hubs and heat-tempered steel outdrives to scrub 30 percent of weight compared to the standard differential. The weight reduction will make for quicker spool-up and acceleration especially in stock classes. Included in the set are also Tungsten Carbide diff balls and MIP’s rebuildable machined aluminium T-nut as well as hard polished drive rings and small parts such as needed spacer shims for the B6 gearbox. Needed for completion of one diff is only the stock Team Associated diff gear.

MIP Ten-SCTE Roller Pucks shiny drive system

MIP Ten-SCTE Roller Pucks shiny drive system

MIP have introduced the Roller Pucks shiny drive system for the Losi Ten-SCTE short course truck. Building on the design features of the MIP Pucks system the Roller Pucks utilise large diameter metal bushings in favour of the standard small diameter pins to make for improved wear characteristics as the Roller Puck material is softer than the hardened steel outdrives. Included in the set are a pair of shiny CVD bones, two Pucks outdrives, metal pucks and it is usable with the Losi Ten-SCE 1.0, TLR Ten-SCTE 2.0 as well as the Losi Ten-Rally X.

MIP Bi-metal differential outdrives

MIP Bi-metal differential outdrives

Seen at last weekend’s Reedy Race of Champions for the first time are MIP’s new Bi-metal differential outdrives. They consist of a two-piece design, revolving around a 7075 hard anodised aluminium disk that is ambidextrous to both the female and male steel outdrives that couple to the aluminium disks. These new bi-metal outdrives will work with MIP’s Roller Pucks along with the standard orange plastic puck. The new diff components will be available soon for both current Team Associated and TLR vehicles and they are perfect for modified racers looking for a bit more punch out of the corners but also stock short course and stadium truck can achieve a lighter drivetrain while getting the optimum wear characteristics that the roller pucks offer over the plastic pucks.
