Novarossi have announced the release of their new special synthetic oil. This 50ml bottle with large nozzle, for precise placement of oil deep into the motor, helps maintain the engine components after racing and keep them in top condition.

Novarossi EFRA 9901 .21 off-road pipe

NovarossiEFRA9901Reinforced

Used by Robert Battle at the 1/8 scale off-road European Championship warm-up, Novarossi now release the updated 51006M EFRA 9901 muffler. Featuring the 9901 specs the pipe received some reinforcements to withstand the rigours of racing better avoiding deformation in the outlet area.

New apparel items from Novarossi

New apparel items from Novarossi

Novarossi have introduced some new apparel items today beginning with this new pit towel. Made from a tough type of cotton, it sports the brands blue colour and also features an homage to their 11 world championship wins. Secondly is the new 27 year anniversary t-shirt, made in blue and sporting a graphic of the Italian country in the ‘Tri-colore’ to emphasize their Italian origin. Last but not least is a new Novarossi patch measuring just 6x6cm makes it ideal to stitch onto your racing clothing to show off your brand loyalty.

Novarossi N21-5T basic sport engine

When Novarossi launched their Basic Sport Competition engine line back in 2009, demand exceeded expectation and so as a result, the N21-5T has received an update. The N21-5T comes with a new crankcase with a new internal porting design for a more optimized flow. There are also external changes to the crankcase, such as a different pattern of cooling ribs along the crankcase.

JJ Wang signs to Novarossi

Novarossi have announced the signing of 13-Year Old Chinese-American JJ Wang to their factory team. The up and coming young driver, who resides in Shanghai, China, is the top 1/8 nitro driver in the country and rising star among the ranks of top Asian drivers. JJ had this to say about the deal:

Ever since I started racing since I was 7.5 years old, I have always thought of Novarossi as the brand that makes the best engines in the world. I am really happy to have this opportunity to race for Novarossi and to be on a team with so many world champions. Now with the power for Novarossi engines, I hope to perform even better at races in China and around the world.

Novarossi 35 Plus & SYDWC motors get updated

Starting from this week, Novarossi’s 35 Plus 21 and the Kangaroo .21 SYDWC engine will come with an upgraded cooling head. The upgraded heads are the same that are used on the previous .21 Flash engines, featuring drilled holes and 6 cuts to reduce the overall weight. Because the cooling head is mounted relatively hight, any reduction in weight for this part significantly helps lower the CofG.

With increasing RPM and engines that are running as lean as possible to deliver the most power possible, the temperature of the exhaust gas have become quite high, which is damaging the exhaust gasket. With the release of the new 2011 Nova line of engines, Novarossi have a different shaped exhaust channel which has no sharp corners, a change that also required a modification to the design of the exhaust gasket itself. As seen in our coverage from Nuremberg, the new gaskets have a different internal shape which allows for better contact with the crankcase, plus it also is made from a more heat resistant material. All 3 modifications are made to improve the life such a little, but important, part of their high performance competition engines.

Novarossi 2096 Buggy pipe set

Racing Experience have announced the release of the new Novarossi 2096 buggy pipe set. Giving the same ignition power as the 9901 pipe, it gives quicker acceleration and also while the fuel mileage is similar to the 9901 on short tracks, this new pipe gives more run time on smooth European style tracks. Made with a super strong construction, using thick material, it makes the pipe very durable. Sold with the 021 header for fitting into the Kyosho and Serpent buggy or with the 029 one to fit in the Mugen or Xray cars.
