Protoform have announced a small update to their World Championship winning P47-N 200mm line of body shells. On high-grip racing surfaces, the weight of 200mm touring car bodies is more crucial than ever and so the P47-N is now available in X-Lite weight to help lower the CG of your car. This results in better, more responsive handling, less traction roll and faster lap times.

Having teased this body shell earlier this month, Protoform have finally unveiled their Corvette C8 for 1/12th scale. This officially licensed body is perfectly suited for GT12 class racing with all the exceptional details of its 1:1 counterpart including aggressive cab forward design, striking front splitter and sculpted side doors and vents are captured using the latest in 3D CAD and 5-axis milling technology. The extensive decal sheet lets you deck out your C8 with Corvette branded windshield headers, number plates, “Jake” skulls and USA flags. The C8 fits any 1:12 pan car or GT12 specific chassis and is formed from high-quality lightweight polycarbonate with paint-then-peel overspray film. It also includes an add-on rear wing with multiple trim heights for aero adjustability, wing mounting hardware and window masks.

Protoform are teasing the release of what looks like a Corvette C8 for the 1/12th scale market. No details are given with the post that the company shared on Facebook other than the inclusion of the Corvette logo, however the similarities to their previous 190mm C8 are striking and the inclusion of the GT12 decal on the side of the shell and the wheels hints to its intended use. One of the most anticipated cars Chevrolet has ever built, the officially-licensed body is perfectly suited for USGT class racing. All the exceptional details of its full-scale counterpart including aggressive cab forward design, striking front splitter, and sculpted side doors and vents are captured using the latest in 3D CAD and 5-axis milling technology. The extensive decal sheet lets the owner deck out the C8 with Corvette branded windshield headers, number plates, “Jake” skulls and USA flags, making even a one-colour rattle can paint job look super scale. This C8 fits modern 190mm touring cars and is formed from high-quality polycarbonate with paint-then-peel overspray film. It also includes an add-on rear wing with the USGT-sanctioned 10mm trim height, wing buttons with mounting hardware and window masks.

Protoform have announced a new GT-style race body option for racers in scale-spec style classes such as USGT, GT10 or Spec Grand Touring; the Vittoria GT. The body takes inspiration from a new wave of Italian hypercars, featuring a low-CG, cab-forward design sure to provide exceptional handling characteristics while also looking stunning on the track. The rear wing features two trim lines: a lower 10mm tall line for USGT-sanctioned racing, and a taller cut line for no-holds-barred club racing where extra rear downforce is needed. Fully-approved for competition by USGT rules, the 190mm Vittoria GT is produced in high-quality 0.75mm polycarbonate, coming in at around 85g to 90g race-ready weight. A comprehensive decal sheet including; windshield headers and number plates, wing mounting hardware, and paint-then-peel overspray film are all included.
Protoform have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming all-new Vittoria 1/10th scale GT body shell. Full details of the 190mm USGT body will surface very soon from what is understood.
