R1 Wurks Mega & Micro capacitor for Digital 3 ESC

R1 Wurks introduce their new line of Mega and Micro capacitor for the Digital 3 ESC. The Mega cap was designed to maximise the performance of the Digital 3 ESC with more than 30x the capacity of the built in capacitors while delivering ultra low ESR performance. This means that these capacitors respond to the ESC ripple current faster for better overall performance. Our 60 grams Mega cap also balances the side by side weight of the ESC, while sitting on the same footprint. This acts as a balancing ballast next to the Digital-3. This means you can also optimise the side by side weight balance, for harder launches. The 30 grams Mega capacitor fills in the gap for space constrained setups. The 30 grams Mega capacitor delivers maximum capacity on a smaller footprint, low ESR and unrivalled performance to weight ratio. The Micro capacitor is an excellent improvement over the stock Digital-3 capacitor, this is a smaller footprint, lower profile and delivering 3x the capacity of the built in Digital 3 capacitor. All the new capacitors will ship with a custom built cradle made of carbon fibre nylon filament and 3M very high bond tape.

Built for the best possible cooling with the added durability of their new 6 spoke frame, it also has improved magnetic shielding to minimise interference from the motor. R1 Wurks V16 Drag Racing Tuned 3.5T & 4.5T motors

Coming from R1 Wurks are their new V16 Drag Racing Tuned 4.5T 7500kv & 3.5T 9000kv motors. For the past few months, R1 Wurks been testing and gathering datalogs using their Digital 3 ESC, from some of the fastest RC drag racers around the U.S.. That amount of data allowed the company to understand the need for efficient power conversion, with the goal of generating the most power while controlling the amp draw to a minimum. With that goal in mind, R1 Wurkd created a line of custom built motors set for different budgets to make the most bang for the buck. Our base tune starts with the Drag Racing Tuned variant and upgrades go all the way up to the All Out Build. The full build comes with winding resistance measurements, rotor magnetic data sheet, sensor alignment, hand picked stator, full titanium screw kit pro installed and the gold standard in ceramic bearings, all pro installed. Other builds include hand-picked stators, aligned sensors and hand-picked stators, as well as aligned sensors, hand-picked stators and titanium screw kits. R1 Wurks V21 6-piece titanium screw kit

Coming from R1 Wurks is their new 6-piece full titanium screw kit for the V21 13.5T to 21.5T stock motors. The set includes three silver Grade 5 thread-rolled premium titanium can screws and three titanium timing screws that reduce overall weight while increasing overall RPM due to not interfering with the motor’s magnetic field. The set fits the R1 Wurks V21 13.5T, 17.5T and 21.5T motor, however it doesn’t fit the V21 25.5T motors. The titanium can screws are also available separately.

R1 Digital-3 brushless speed controller

New from R1 Wurks comes the LCG Digital-3 2S/1S wireless programmable brushless speed controller. Developed using the most advanced microchip processor and a robust proprietary software, the speedo delivers some of the most technologically advanced features to date. Development of the LCG controller was focused on ultra smooth power delivery needed for modified racing as well as supreme power efficiency for stock motors. The unit features an A.C.L.C. Advanced Component Level Cooling system. This design allows individual encapsulated low resistance Mosfets – inner and outer components – to transfer heat directly to the upper heatsink. The system also comes equipped with an all new zero timing blinky mode for spec racing, using an advanced commutation algorithm called Cool Power to keep the motor cool and deliver powerful, yet ultra-smooth acceleration. The LCG Digital-3 boasts a redesigned case minimising overall weight and lowering the centre of gravity. R1 Wurks have minimised the weight from the upper case while improving heat dissipation, achieved by improving air velocity exits from all sides of the ESC case. All adjustable settings are easily programmed using the R1 Wireless Adapter coupled with an iOS or Android app designed with an intuitive, easy to use interface. The new R1 Digital-3 app also features a super-fast live telemetry and a built in datalogger for after race analysis. Built in Amp draw meter for setting motor timing or for after race analysis. Using the new over the air updates feature, firmware updates are now easily downloaded through our iOS or Android apps.

R1 Wurks V21 25.5T brushless motor

R1 Wurks have announced the release of their V21 25.5T brushless motor. Using proprietary R1 stator laminate material, specially designed stators, epoxy-bound end winds as well as ultra low resistance collector rings, the motors offers greatly improved resistance compared to the previous V16 for increased performance and lower running temperatures. The motors come including an aluminium timing ring and they are BRCA and EFRA approved with the ROAR approval pending.

R1 Wurks V21 1650 torque tuned rotor

R1 Wurks have announced the launch of the new 1650 option rotor for the V21 line of motors. The selected rotors offers 1625 to 1650+ Gauss reading, which is slightly higher than the company’s stock rotors for improved torque. The ROAR-approved rotor, much like the 1650 for the V16, includes the needed shims, as well as a printout of the rotor’s gauss reading.
