RC Maker GeoCarbon HD weighted tweak wheel set

RC Maker have presented their new GeoCarbon HD weighted tweak wheel set for touring cars. The concept is simple yet very effective. The wheels are weighted offside and on a ball bearing, so as soon as you pick the car up trying to see what wheel comes off first, the wheel that is high will spin, and indicate which way to turn the collars on the opposite end of the car. No more getting down on your knees eye-balling it, or feeling for the lift off point, simply watch which one spins first, and that’s the high corner. The wheels feature ABEC 7 Quality bearings and integrated 7075 Alu knurled thumb nut. The wheels and nut stay as one piece to ensure you never lose anything. The opposite end features the same hardware, except with a stable “A” design to ensure the car stays still and rigid whilst doing your tweak. Just swap them front to rear when doing the opposite end.

RC Maker MMX GeoCarbon V3 arms

Building upon their very popular GeoCarbon V2 Arms for the Awesomatix A800 MMX, RC Maker are excited to present their V3 arms. Featuring front steering arm options for both single and double bellcrank steering, as well as rear steering arms, they feature duplicated geometry of standard arms and provide more flex on the toe axis, which in testing yielded more traction. The V3 Arms now feature a pressed 7075 aluminium M3 threaded insert, so now you can screw the ball stud directly into the arm.

RC Maker GeoCarbon setup board

RC Maker have introduced what they claim is the most premium solid carbon fibre setup board on the market and we might have to agree. Finished in their signature GeoCarbon style, it features recessed corners with chamfered edges for ultimate looks and practicality. The chamfer prevents the corners from chipping and ensures your board will last for years to come. Manufactured from 5mm thick 3K twill weave gloss carbon, ensuring it stays flat and tweak free, it comfortably fits 1/10th Touring and 1/12th Pan cars with dimensions, coming in at 395 x 295mm (15.5 x 11.6 inches). The board comes with a RC Maker branded neoprene protective bag for travelling and storage when not in use. The board (850g) and travel bag (250g) weigh in at a nice and light 1.1kg (2.4lb) and for those that want to go the whole hog, they also offer a custom name engraving service.

RC Maker T4’20 carbon hub extension plates

RC Maker have developed some beefed up extension plates for the Xray T4’20 alu steering hubs. They have also integrated an M3 pressed insert which completely does away with the nut on top of the arm. There’s specific versions for front and rear to maximise strength in each position whilst ensuring required clearance from hubs/wheels. Compared to stock the new plates are thicker at 3mm and have the inner link position removed, while the new profile of the arm has increased strength and flex.

RC Maker 3D Pro direct mount fan shroud

RC Maker have introduced their new ultimate fan shroud and fan mount in one. Available in 3 versions for the Awesomatix A800MMX, Xray T4’20 or Yokomo BD10, it mounts directly to the motor-mount using the supplied super light aluminium mounting screws, with no fan mount or tape required. The new shroud increases the volume of air flow over the motor, reducing motor temperatures and how it is mounted, floating off the chassis, there is no interference with the chassis’ flex.

RC Maker T4 & BD7 HRP towers & A800 brass shim plates

New from RC Maker come these GeoCarbon adjustable HRP (Horizontal Rear Post) shock towers for the Xray T4’20 (standard and low -3mm) and Yokomo BD10. These face your rear body posts backwards, and feature 1.5mm staggered holes for body height and rake adjustment. This system lowers the centre of gravity and increases body stability and downforce transfer from the wing directly into your shocks and tires creating a more stable car with increased corner speed. Additionally they also have released a new GeoCarbon front shock tower for the Yokomo BD10 to match and look the part. Next up are there popular roll centre shim plates for the Awesomatix A800, but made from brass. These are a great way to add weight down low and shift it front to rear on your car when using Long Arms. They also make changing your roll centre easier than ever, simply loosen the screws, slide the plate out and the new plate in and re-tighten. These are available in a set of 4 (2 front & 2 rear), and in 4 of the most common roll centre settings of 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 2.8mm. Their set weights vary from 6g to 9g depending on the thickness you choose.

RC Maker BD10 Slimflex chassis & weight options

RC Maker have introduced their new Slimflex carbon fibre chassis and floating electronics plate for the Yokomo BD10 touring car. Tested and developed for months the chassis will improve on the original chassis, especially in low-med traction conditions. The chassis is narrowed all round to provide less scrubbing in corners, leading to increased corner speed. This increases flex, so to counteract this, the designers have recessed the diff and spool cutouts instead of cutting them all the way through. Not only does this bring the chassis back up to the desired amount of flex, it also improves aerodynamic performance by not preventing air from under the chassis being forced up into the car, detrimental to downforce. Overall, the chassis is slightly stiffer than the kit chassis, and provides improved response.

RC Maker 3D Pro touring car shock restrictor set

Coming from RC Maker is their new 3D Pro touring car shock restrictor set. The shock restrictors can be used for two main functions: Getting perfect weight balance on your chassis using scales and de-tweaking the car’s shock towers. The shock restrictors make balancing the chassis on the scales easier than ever. With mid motor touring cars being more reliant on weight distribution than ever, it is important to be able to get an accurate reading on the front to rear, and side to side balance of the car. These restrictors slot into low profile shock shaft, and fix the resting shock distance of the car to 7mm. This is roughly a normal ride height setting on most chassis, and turns the shock into a “turnbuckle” at ride height. This removes any impacts the spring shock collar pressure has on the reading of the weight distribution and gives the actual reading of weight on all 4 corners of the car.
