Rebellion RC MMX body distance system

Similar to the body distance system released yesterday by RebellionRC yesterday, this new version is specific to the Awesomatix MMX. Incorporated into new steering arms, its adjustable design makes it possible to fine-tune the mounting height of the body. Because the body no longer moves up and down with the chassis you can position the body lower than ever before, which in turn improves aerodynamics. For a perfect fit on the knuckle they have used special tools to provide the highest precision, playfree and still easy to disassemble without tons of force.

Rebellion RC body distance system

New from Rebellion RC comes their body distance system which supports the body shell directly over the front wheels. The system is mounted to the car’s c-hub and its adjustable design makes it possible to fine-tune the mounting height of the body. Because the body no longer moves up and down with the chassis you can position the body lower than ever before, which in turn improves aerodynamics. The black holders directly replace the original 2mm shims under the pivot ball like those found on the T4. The set comes supplied with plastic end-caps for improved body longevity.

Rebellion RC Awesomatix MMX swing arm set

New for the Awesomatix MMX from Rebellion RC is their new swing arm set. Comprising of 8 pieces, 2 from each type, it offers a full range of swing arms, from the standard +8 and +9 offset points to the optional +8.5 and +9.5. The extra 0.5mm offset changes the car’s roll behaviour and handling feeling and on high grip tracks can be the difference between success and rolling over. Each arm is 3mm thick and features the offset engraved on its surface for easy identification.

Rebellion-RC A800 MMCX narrow main chassis

RC-Carbonstore have introduced the new Rebellion-RC narrow carbon fibre main chassis kit for the Awesomatix A800 MMCX mid-motor touring car. Due to the use of much harder carbon fibre material compared to the stock main plate, the designers were able to create a chassis that is 8mm narrower than the stock plate, without sacrificing overall stiffness and flex characteristics, which results in a lot less chassis scrubbing during hard cornering. To further gain advantages of the new narrow design, the old short lower arms mounting positions were removed in favour of a streamlined design that further adds ground clearance during cornering or while riding curbs. In addition to making the chassis slimmer, the main plate also features a 4.5mm more forward battery and a 2.5mm more forward servo position in order to gain smoother corner apex steering while getting a more stable rear end under acceleration. The slimmer chassis design also allowed to reposition the anti-roll bars without having to change anything to the wires or mounts. Other new features include slightly enlarged motor cutouts that allow for easier ESC wire routing underneath the motor can while also preventing the motor from touching the chassis. In order to optimise overall flex, the under-spool and under-diff cutouts were reshaped while additional mounting positions for Rebellion-RC’s new MMCX weight set allow easy mounting of the floating receiver and fan mount plate as well as the forthcoming new Y-stiffener. The chassis is rounded out by mounting positions for Rebellion-RC’s signature under-battery rubber dots, a 0.3×45 degree lower chamfer for looks and durability and it is available in 2.0mm, 2.2mm and 2.5mm thickness.

Rebellion-RC MMCX 62g brass weight kit

Coming from RC-Carbonstore’s Rebellion-RC brand is a new 62g floating brass weight kit for the popular Awesomatix A800 MMCX mid motor touring car. The set includes different weights and weight options, such as a rear T-stiffener that, compared to the original rear stiffener weight, is of an asymmetrical shape to create more room for space controller with the overall design ensuring no negative influence on symmetric chassis flex. The included floating receiver and fan weight can be moved 3mm forth and back by simply turning it around and to access its floating capabilities only a 0.5mm shim needs to be added between the weight and the chassis. To access the floating capabilities of the receiver and fan plate, an additional hole needs to be drilled into the chassis, however a respective drill template is included, making it an easy task. Also included in the weight kit is a small weight that sits in front of the motor and besides the servo mount and the whole set is complete with the addition of multi-piece side motor mount weights that can be stacked to achieve the desired about of counter weight when running extremely lightweight low-profile batteries. All weights are machined from high-quality brass material and included comes suitable mounting hardware in the form of two M3x10mm and two M2.5x10mm fasteners. Please not that the floating weight is intended for the use with the carbon fibre chassis but not the aluminium or CrossFlex chassis, however the other included weights fit all chassis for the MMCX.

Rebellion-RC T4F mid-motor conversion kit

RC-Carbonstore have announced the release of their Rebellion-RC mid-motor conversion kit for the popular Xray T4F FWD touring car. Designed for the use with the now redundant T4F 2019, the conversion utilises the design and all of the features of Rebellion-RC’s successful T4 FWD mid-motor conversion with a new upper deck and front shock tower being the most important updates. The front shock tower uses the T4’19 geometry, making for a lower centre of gravity compared to the T4F with the front body mounts being attachable in two different ways – the same as on the T4F or in a regular “4WD-ish” fashion with the body posts mounted to the front bumper. The conversion allows to use all of the existing option parts such as shock springs, anti-roll bars, lower arms etc. and the design enables the owner to convert the car back into a front-motor FWD in case track conditions call for it. The kit will become available including a carbon fibre or CrossFlex aluminium chassis and it includes all needed parts minus the required Xray off-set spur gear.

Rebellion-RC A800FX Crossflex aluminium chassis

RC-Carbonstore have introduced their all-new Rebellion-RC Crossflex chassis for the Awesomatix A800FX FWD touring car. The main plate is machined from high-quality aluminium and features Rebellion-RC’s signature Crossflex technology that allows to add brass inserts for the lowest possible centre of gravity while enabling the driver to fine-tune chassis flex by using different amounts of screws to tighten down the inserts. The idea was to become able to adjust the weight-balance as well as the flex individually with every insert by using different fixing positions without the need of changing the whole chassis; with a standard chassis being always hard front/rear or soft front/rear, but not hard front/soft rear. When the brass inserts are fixed at a 90 degree angle to the driving direction they almost have no influence to the flex, but if attached using the remaining – cross-positioned – mounting points, the inserts decrease the flex. To make the system work the fixing points for the “hard” setting are 0.3mm lowered to make for a free movement at “flex” setting, and when using the “hard” setting drivers need to insert the included 0.3mm shims to be able to access the desired “hard” flex settings. The chassis alone weighs in at 83g with the fully brass’ed up variant weighing in at 147g.

Rebellion-RC T4’20 Crossflex aluminium chassis

RC-Carbonstore have introduced their new Rebellion-RC Crossflex aluminium chassis for the popular Xray T4 2020 mid-motor touring car. The chassis was developed for the use in medium to high-bite traction conditions with its highly machined design allowing for optimised flex characteristics that can be greatly influenced with the use of up to twelve optional brass inserts that not only add weight in the lowest area of the chassis, but they can also be used to change the overall torsional flex characteristics. The chassis is machined from high-quality aluminium, it comes black anodised for wear and looks, features a laser-engraved Rebellion-RC logo and it weighs in at 83g alone and up to 130.9g using the optional brass inserts.
