Orlowski tops first seeding round at eBuggy Worlds

Michal Orlowski has topped the opening round of seeding practice at the inaugural eBuggy World Championship, the Schumacher driver fastest from the similar car of Xray’s Dakotah Phend.  Over the first of the two 10-minute seeding rounds, the Polish driver improved on his P6 Free Practice pace by half a second with Phend just 0.15 of a second off over his best 3-consecutive laps of the Barcelos track.  Sworkz’s Juan Carlos Canas would complete the Top 3 ahead of David Ronnefalk with Mayako’s Pekko Iivonen backing up his strong final free practice run to set the 5th fastest time.  Having topped free practice, Marcus Kaerup would open seeding with a P6, the Team Associated driver unable to match his FP7 pace and putting the 0.8 of a second lost down to not driving as well.

Orlowski finally adds European TC title to tally

Schumacher’s Michal Orlowski has finally added the EFRA 1:10 Electric Touring European Championship title to his CV, the Pole taking the 2025 title ahead of outgoing Champion Marc Rheinard in the Netherlands.  With Bruno Coelho securing the TQ with the new Infinity IF14 Speciale ahead of Orlowski and Rheinard, A1 would see a dramatic start to finals day at the RACO2000 track.  On the opening lap Orlowski made a mistake giving Coelho some breathing space but then on Lap 2 the World Champion rolled handing the Awesomatix of Rheinard the lead which the German held to the end to win ahead of Ronald Volker’s Mugen Seiki with Orlowski P3 ahead of Coelho.  Switching from a white body to full race paint for A2, the switch wasn’t to bring Coelho any better luck for A2 as again Lap 2 would be his downfall as he spun out of the lead ahead of Orlowski.  With Rheinard then making a mistake, Orlowski would cruise to the win ahead of Volker and Xray’s Alexander Hagberg as Rheinard registered a P5 and Coelho a DNF.  With Coelho out of title contention, the focus of A3 was on if Rheinard could retain his title or if Orlowski could lay claim to it for the very first time.  With Rheinard needing to finish second and ahead of Orlowski, as Coelho led out front the race would see the Top 7 finish as they started and with his A2 win and P3 in A1 it was Orlowski’s title.  With Rheinard finishing runner-up, the podium would be completed by 7-time Champion Volker with Coelho ending up fourth.  In Stock the race would also see the crowning of a brand new Champion as Top Qualifier Adam Iszay converted with wins in A1 & 3 to win the title for Xray ahead of former Champions Olivier Bultynck, who won A2, and Max Mächler.  In FWD and Formula it was to be home wins for Robin Van Gog and Fenix driver Jitse Miedema.

Orlowski takes Q1 at EFRA European TC Championships

Schumacher’s Michal Orlowski has opened his quest for a first EFRA Electric Touring Car European Championship title in the best way possible by ending Day 1 in the Netherlands with a TQ run ahead of current World Champion Bruno Coelho and defending European Champion Marc Rheinard.  In practice it was the Infinity of Coelho that set the pace at the Raco2000 track in Ultrecht ahead of Rheinard and Mugen Seiki’s Ronald Volker, with Euros Warm-up Race winner Orlowski seeding P4.  The 24th running of the championships, as Coelho led away the 9-car top heat he had a spin on his second lap allowing Rheinard’s Awesomatix to go to the front and set the pace for the first half of the run before Orlowski took over as the pace setter.  The 1:12 World Champion would hold on for the TQ ahead of a fast charging Coelho who laid down the fastest lap, the separation just 0.09 despite the almost 2-seconds Coelho lost as a result of his spin.  Rheinard would record a P3 ahead of Volker with Awesomatix’s Lucas Urbain completing the Top 5.  In Pro Stock, Awesomatix’s Max Mächler took the opening qualifier ahead of team-mate Olivier Bultynck as the Xray of Top Seed Adam Izsay opted to sit out Q1.  TITC Open Brushless Champion Sören Sparbier completed the Top 3 for Mugen Seiki.

Orlowski goes 12-in-a-row at ETS Aigen

Michal Orlwoski has extended his winning streak in the ETS to 12, the Schumacher ace winning a shortened rain effected Round 2 at Aigen in Austria.  Battling rain interruptions throughout the event, it would be Orlowski who secured the overall TQ after topping 2 of the three 4-minute qualifiers that they managed to complete.  Taking the second round of qualifying Marc Rheinard’s Awesomatix would secure P2 ahead of Mugen Seiki’s Ronald Volker and Infinity’s Bruno Coelho, the World Champion having a tough seeding and finding himself running in the third fastest heat.  With Sunday’s weather showing little possibility of any racing, it was decided to end Saturday’s action with the Modified finals.  In A1 reigning ETS Champion Orlowski controlled the race from the front followed home by Rheinard and team-mate Simon Lauter, who benefited from contact between Coelho and Volker.  In A2 it was another perfect drive from Orlowski, an early spin by Rheinard making his drive to 12-wins a row that bit easier.  Coelho would take second ahead of Volker after the German succumbed to the intense pressure from his Portuguese rival.  Winning A3 Rheinard locked in second overall while Volker held off Coelho in second to claim the final step on the podium.  Lauter would finish 5th overall behind Coelho with the second of the three new Infinity IF14 Speciales in the final securing P6 with Viktor Wilck.  With the rest of the classes decided on qualifying order, it was Awesomatix’s Olivier Bultynck who made it two from 2 having also won the season opener at Apeldoorn.  Behind the Belgian, Louis Kretschmer made it an Awesomatix 1-2 with the ARC of Enrico Jung in third.
