Smokem Racing T4MX chassis

Smokem Racing T4MX chassis

The team at Smokem Racing has released the latest version of their MX-series chassis, this time for the Xray T4 electric touring car. Like all Smokem Racing’s MX-series chassis, the 2.25mm thick Smokem T4MX features distinctive curved shoulders that enhance the flex characteristics of the chassis compared to the stock Xray design. As a result, the T4MX delivers superior chassis response during quick direction changes and turn-in, while maintaining excellent stability. The added flex also widens the tuning window in your T4, allowing your car to be easily dialed-in over a wider range of temperature and track conditions. And in response to racers’ feedback, the T4MX also incorporates an enlarged pinion gear access hole to make pinion changes a breeze.

Smokem 417CTR servo mount

The Smokem 417CTR servo mount is now available for the TRF417 and TRF417X. This servo mount allows the servo on your Tamiya to be mounted along the centerline of the chassis. By eliminating the outside mounting point it frees up front-end flex for improved steering. Furthermore this servo mount ensures symmetrical chassis flex in this area, for a more balanced steering response. The Smokem 417CTR Servo Mount is made from premium 7075-T6 aluminium and is anodized blue to match the rest of your TRF racing machine.

Smokem Racing 417MX chassis

Following on from their successful T3MX chassis, Smokem Racing has now released the new 417MX chassis for the TRF417 series of electric touring cars. The 417MX is a medium flex 2.25mm thick chassis that is ideal for medium to high traction conditions. It has a wide tuning window which allows you to dial in your car over a range of temperature and track conditions. The 417MX utilizes the same distinctive carbon weave first found on the 417FX chassis and also features distinctive curved profile cutouts which improves chassis response during quick direction changes and turn-in, while maintaining maximum rear traction. With an overall width of only 88mm, scrubbing during hard cornering is minimized.

Smokem Hot Bodies TCX-FX chassis

Smokem Hot Bodies TCX-FX chassis

The Hot Bodies TCX gets the Smokem treatment with the TCX-FX chassis. Firstly they have reduced the width of the chassis by almost 10mm and with an overall width of only 94mm, scrubbing during hard cornering is minimized. The 2.2mm thick chassis has been designed to provide additional flex to deliver more grip and a wider tuning window so you can dial-in your car in over a wide range of temperature and track conditions. Other improvements include 2 additional LiPo support holes, which allow you to install locating nuts to bring the LiPo battery 5mm closer to the centerline of the car. We have also added front and rear balancing holes so you can balance your TCX with balance pins. All this translates to a faster car over a wider range of conditions.

Smokem Racing DEX410R shock towers

Smokem Racing DEX410R shock towers

Smokem Racing’s DEX410R carbon fiber shock towers are a direct replacement for the aluminium shock towers found on the Durango DEX410R. Aluminium parts can often bend on impact which can be hard to detect with the naked eye and this can alter the shock geometry and handling of your buggy. The Smokem towers are not only tougher but are also up to 40% lighter than the standard aluminium units. Additional shock mounting holes have been provided to allow racers to further fine-tune the handling of their DEX410R or DEX410.

Smokem Mi4 Upper Link plate

Smokem Mi4 Upper Link plate

Developed with leading local Schumacher drivers, the Smokem Mi4 Upper Link plate provides Schumacher Mi4 racers with additional, longer upper link positions to dial in their cars. By incorporating multiple link positions, racers can alter the length of the upper link without changing the upper link plate. Apart from the standard 39.2mm spacing, there are 2 additional spacings of 31.7mm and 24.2mm. A longer upper link provides greater roll resistance for a given spring rate and less camber rise. The design is also ideal when running harder carcass control tyres by maximizing tyre contact patch and maintaining consistent tyre wear.
