T-Works Progressive Damper System

T-Works Progressive Damper System

T-Works have introduced their Progressive Damper System for a range of electric touring car kits. Adapting a common design that is popular especially when racing on asphalt tracks, the system utilises bushings with triangular-shaped openings as well as plain pistons. The bushings are inserted into the shock housings and the plain pistons are used in place for the drilled standard ones while the triangular openings in the tubes allowing the oil to bypass the piston on compression. With ongoing compression the opening above the piston becomes smaller, resulting in a progressive, harder dampening that can lead to faster corner speeds and improved stability. Included in each set are four bushings and four plain pistons and the system is available for the HPI Pro5, Xray T4’16 as well as the Yokomo BD7-2015 and BD7-2016.

Xray X10 2016 1/10th scale pan car kit

Xray X10 2016 1/10th scale pan car kit

Xray have introduced the 2016 version of the popular X10 1/10th scale 200mm pan car kit. The latest incarnation of Xray’s World GT car features and all-new chassis design with a very narrow carbon fibre main chassis place cut from 2.5mm material. The 2016 kit does away with the wide design of the former cars in favour of a very narrow chassis that minimises scrubbing on high-traction tracks or in high-speed corners. As a result the car also handles much better over bumps and it incorporates mounting holes for a long centre shock position which further increases on-power traction and drivability over bumps.

Xray T4'16 aluminium flex chassis

Xray have introduced the aluminium flex chassis for the T4’16 touring car. Cut from 2.0mm 7075-T6 aluminium and coming black anodised and with silver chamfered edges the chassis will offer improved flex over Xray’s standard alloy chassis, thanks to adapting a popular design that utilises herringbone-shaped flex cutouts. The increased torsional flex makes the chassis ideal for low to medium-bite conditions as it helps the car to generate more traction, stability and steering.

I’m very happy to be part of the Xray team. I believe that Xray work as hard as a company as I do as a racer. Xray wants to improve their products all the time and I hope I can help them with my 20+ years of experience. After building the first car, I was 100% sure I made the right decision – the quality and the fitments of everything is just unique in the RC industry and none of any other cars I ever built is even close to this. I´m really looking forward to some successful years together and I hope I finally found my new home.
