Factory RC ROAR motor tech plate

Coming from Factory RC is the ROAR motor tech plate. This go/no go tech plate allows for quick inspection of any ROAR-approved motor for physical dimension requirements. The plate is machined from 2.25mm carbon look plate to the maximum tolerances allowed by ROAR. This allows the individual inspecting motors for legality to use a non magnetic tool to inspect the rotor and can for dimensions to assure legal racing. The rotor can be inspected using the length and diameter slot which also inspects for the 7.00mm internal OD shaft. There is also a pass through hole for the rotor body as well. Notches help to inspect the can diameter and length, as well as the 14.5mm “plug” go/no go gauge for the can/stack. This leaves only the stack length for inspection with a pair of digital callipers to finalise inspection which is easy to do since the stack is not magnetic. All measurements are clearly marked and the plate has so far been successfully used at various races.

SkyRC DC power distributor box

Coming from SkyRC is the DC power distributor box with dual USB and triple banana-type outputs. Usable with 6V to 18VDC input the box multiples the outputs available from a power supply or dedicated charger, allowing to power mobile devices, pit lamps and more from a single power output at the same time. The box features two 5V/2.1A USB and triple banana/crocodile-type outputs and it is available in three variants with banana-type, DC male plug or XT60 plug connector harnesses.

Reedy Sonic 540-M3 25.5T ROAR spec brushless motor

Coming from Reedy is the Sonic 540-M3 25.5T ROAR spec brushless motor. Built to meet ROAR’s unique guidelines for 25.5 turn motors used in Formula and VTA racing classes, the motor’s resistance measures at the minimum legal value and it shares the same features list as the rest of the 540-M3 line. The M3 series utilises CNC-machined 3-piece cans, aluminium end caps, low-resistance, silver-plated solder tabs, optimised air cooling and dual precision ball bearings.

HRC Racing TSW dual gold connectors & reducer tubes

HRC Racing have introduced the TSW Pro Racing series 4mm and 5mm dual bullet-type connectors and 5mm to 4mm reducer tubes. Starting with the connectors, they offer both a 5mm and 4mm end as well as a centre section bore for easy soldering. The connectors are ideal to create charge harnesses that allow to be uses with the old-style 4mm and the new 5mm hardcase battery connectors and they are gold-plated and come as pair or 10-piece set. Also new are gold-plated 5mm to 4mm reducer tubes for hardcase battery packs with 5mm connectors. Using them allows to utilise both 5mm and 4mm packs without having to swap the standard 4mm connector on charge harnesses or speed controllers.

Hobbywing QuicRun 3650 SD G2 brushless motor

Hobbywing have introduced the QuicRun 3650 SD G2 brushless stock motor. Using a sturdy 1-piece can with cooling openings and a fixed timing endbell, the motor is ideal for sanctioned racing classes. Pre-soldered 3.5mm bullet-type connectors make for plug & play ease and a high-precision balanced rotor guarantees smooth and linear power output. The sensored motor is available in a range of windings including 6.5T and 8.5T modified as well as 10.5T to 25.5T stock variants.

HRC Racing 11.1V 4400mAh hardcase LiPo battery pack

Coming from HRC Racing is a 11.1V 3S 4400mAh hardcase LiPo battery pack. Offering standard 2S dimensions of 135x45x25mm the battery is usable in all vehicles that take 2S packs but the additional cell makes for a significant boost in performance. The battery is ideal for short course and monster trucks with limited battery compartment size, it comes made from high-quality 50C cells and sports a Deans-compatible T-plug connector.

Scorpion Vanguard S2-50 Clubrace speed controller

Scorpion have introduced their new Vanguard S2-50 Clubrace speed controller. Aimed at spec class racing the compact ESC can be run with down to 13.5T motors, it features a 6V/3A BEC system, an aluminium heatsink, a 50A current rating as well as blinky mode and zero timing settings along an adjustable RPM limit mode to equal the performance when running different motors in RPM-limited spec racing classes. A V-Link cable for increased adjustably and a fan unit for racing in high ambient temperatures are available separately.

LRP 2017 P5-HV Competition Car Line LiPo battery range

LRP have revamped their Competition Car Line range of high-performance LiPo batteries for 2017, adding several 7.6V LiHV packs. The P5-HV technology Graphene cells will offer improved durability when charged to the standard 4.2V per cell but they are good for the use with up to 4.35V charge end voltage, allowing to use them in outlaw racing classes. The new cell technology makes for improved average voltage, lower heat built-up and an increased voltage level towards the end of a run. The range starts with four standard length 2S packs, the 8000mAh TC Stock Spec (25.1mm height/332g), the 6400mAh TC LCG Stock Spec (22.5mm/274g), the 5500mAh TC Ultra LCG (20.0mm/230g) and the 5600mAh TC LCG (22.5mm/268g.
